Super great coverage and matte quality. I really enjoy these so much. The color palette is very interesting too. The only thing I struggle with is they are hard to open once the tubes are less full, they twist a lot and I've had a few break/tear. But with the actual paint a little goes a long way and I'd love to get some in larger tubes (more colors available). Korean art stuff is the best!

I have searched fruitlessly for these online for a few years after seeing one of my favorite YouTube artists use them. I was so delighted to stumble upon this set a few days ago while searching for my usual gouache brand. They arrived in 24 hours in perfect condition, and the packaging is delightful. I paint with gouache quite a bit, and always use Holbein or Windsor & Newton artist grade paints. The Sui gouache is perhaps the most lovely gouache I have ever used. The coverage is outstanding (with one coat when painting on a white surface), but what is so wonderful is the creamy, absolutely *buttery* consistency of these paints. There is no drag—they just glide across the page. The selection of colors is both whimsical *and* practical. Finally, they are so. Heavily. Pigmented. “A little goes a long way” doesn’t really do it justice. I filled 5 6 x 9 sketchbook pages using about 1/2 a pea size of each color, and I still have quite a bit of paint left. When you add a little spray of water and stir with a toothpick, this paint really expands. Thank you to Illustrator Sui for her lovely paints. I hope to see a few more colors (this set covers most bases) and larger tubes become available soon.

Sui Gouache is the best gouache I've ever used! Also it is traditional, rewettable gouache- NOT ACRYLIC like some other reviews said. I almost never tried it because of those reviews which is why I am writing one now. It is so creamy, like working with good buttery oil paints can feel. The pigment load is extraordinary, so the paint can be thinned down quite a bit and still be SO OPAQUE. Yes I am raving haha, but I really am shocked how different (EASY) it is to work with. When it dries in the pan it doesn't turn into chips like other brands, and doesn't need to be worked with the brush to rewet. Like another reviewer, I too immediately bought some large tubes after trying these- and can't wait for the blues to be in larger tubes because I can't imagine life without them. These colors mix with the other brands nicely too if you have them.

Thank you!!!ORIGINAL: This is very disappointing... it is a beautiful package and I was so excited to use them. I started going through each tube to transfer them to my new palette case, and once I got to the “Rosy” color, it turned out to be white paint. So I got two white tubes... The Rosy color was mislabeled. I called Amazon but I was told I cannot return the item because they were “used”. I got the paints yesterday. Called them about it today. I didn’t know one of the tubes would be defective until I got to it. Very disappointed I have no way to get this fixed. I was looking forward to that color.

I purchased the Sui Gouache set on a whim because I had never heard of it before, and I'm so glad that I did! I really enjoyed painting with this set, and I thought it included a very unique selection of colors. The orange is absolutely beautiful! The gouache was very high quality and has very good coverage. A little bit of paint went a long way. I do believe this is an artists quality gouache based on my tests. I have been so indecisive about which brand of gouache to get, but I finally settled on these because the colors of so beautiful. I’m absolutely going to buy all the duo sets! They are really smooth, SUPER pigmented, and the colors are beautiful. My only wish is for them to make even more colors!!! I haven’t see how they rewet once they dry, but I’m really hopefully I will be able to put them in some half pans to take with me outside of the house. Also such a bonus that the packaging is so cute

Saw these on a YouTube video and they looked so yummy that on a whim I also purchased all four additional 2-tube sets of colors. My whim paid off! Just swatched these out on three different sketchbook papers and I am IN LOVE! So creamy, so beautiful right out of the tube, no separation of binder which is so irritating with some WN Designers Gouache I have. I’ve ordered a palette which arrives today and will add glycerin to keep paints moist as I’d like to be able to travel with this set. I have a stay-wet sealed palette that I use with my other gouache for at home studio use. Now I’d love to see Sui offer all these colors open stock in larger tubes! They are that good. If they gain enough of a following they’ll definitely give the current brands a run for their money. Yes, they are pricey, but in this case you really get what you pay for. The only other experiment I want to make takes time: How long the paint remains in the tubes before it begins to harden. I’ve had a problem with both WN and Holbein, particularly in colors mixed with white. As for the company that filled my order, it came promptly and in great shape. If you love gouache you should definitely give these a try!
