FUNKY Retro Steam Iron, Ceramic Soleplate, 3m Cord, 450ml Water Tank - Grey

i was tempted purely by the looks of this iron. a little bit extravagant with the price. but looks great.... i like the fact it only steams when you hold the (easy accessible) button on the handle. i like the feel of the chunky handle. which makes easy for me to hold even with arthritis in my hands. as a dry iron it works well with the blast of steam when needed. i did also use to vertical steam and it worked well and did the job but a bit heavy for me. but it did the job and i would do it again when needed.i bought this for its aesthetics.....then ...after only a few times using it .... i dropped it and broke the casing!! :( >>> i was so cross with myself. but ... to its credit it survived and still works fine. so i also add that its sturdy! i am so annoyed after buying for looks that i now have a big hole in the side, but that is my fault not the irons... it still works despite me. and that to me mean a sturdy iron. i would buy again and may do when i can afford to....as the hole in the side annoys me.... aesthetics

I bought this iron as I thought the design looked great and was a bit fed up with the usual brands. When the iron arrived, I struggled to get it to work properly, not realising that the button under the handle has to be held in order to generate steam. The iron worked okay for a few months, but then stopped generating steam, it was also leaking quite badly (I'm not sure if this was from the tank fill up bit or not), I contacted Amazon support who advised that I would need to contact the manufacturer as it was out of the Amazon support period, which was fair enough. I contacted the Funky Iron company directly and after I provided a video of the malfunction, they sent a replacement iron, once received I had to send a photo of the old iron with the cord off, which I did. The replacement iron has now failed after 6 months, with the same issues as the previous one, so I'd say this is one to avoid.

I love the colour and funky retro design. The Iron is really well made, heavier than most other irons as the body is metal rather than plastic. The 3 metre cable is also much longer than others I have purchased.It's comfortable in the hand, heats up quickly and delivers powerful, continuous steam, particularly on the 3 dot setting, with no drips or leaks. Perfect for ironing my shirts.

I am getting used to this now - it has a delay on the stream but I’m getting it now and using it better 👍🏻

I’ve had my new Funky Iron for a month now and I have to say that I really like it. This iron has an extra long power cord at 3m which is very useful for a tall guy like me. I also like not having to top up the water tank regularly as the iron has a large water tank (450ml). It produces a great amount of steam and copes with all of my clothes and linen. I also really like the Funky look, so all in all, I would definitely recommend this iron. Oh and the complimentary heat resistant silicone pad to rest the iron on the ironing board is a great freebie!!!

I ordered this iron over two years ago but have had several replacements due to multiple reoccurring faults. I have had issues with multiple replacement irons sent to me by the manufacturer as after a few months of general use the steam generator stops working completely and the small protective sleeve around the power cord breaks. Also one of the irons leaked terribly and to be honest they all did a little from the water cap and soaked the ironing board when standing. I really loved the design of this iron so overlooked some small design flaws as when it works, it’s great but it seems that the design is not viable. So currently my iron that I received as a replacement in March 2023 has already failed yet again and now the manufacturer won’t replace it as the original iron was purchased over two years ago and the guarantee has expired. Bit ridiculous as the new iron is the one that’s faulty (yet again). It’s a such a shame as it seems that The Funky Appliance Company is all about style over function. I would avoid purchasing unless you want to be iron-less in a few months. They won’t help me with resolving this ongoing issues, which is interesting now I’ve read a few other similar reviews on here…..so it looks like I better get iron shopping.

Had this iron for 3 weeks, I thought it was a great iron, creases came out easily, loved the retro look, but unfortunately it has now stopped producing steam, now returning back to Amazon

This is an uber-stylish iron with 50s looks. Very innovative and contemporary- looks so different from the other irons on the market which frankly haven't kept up with the image marketComes in a selection of beautiful colours - rose gold, dusty pale blue (the one I bought) and for style gets a 5 star plusI love the long cord - significantly longer than my previous ironPresses beautifully and the iron is firm to holdI absolutely LOVE it!
