Venus Fly Trap, Fly Trap Carnivorous Plant, a Fun & Live Gift!

Years ago, Venus fly traps used to be available in supermarkets and random florists. Unfortunately, I have not seen these beautiful plants available for purchase in store and assumed they went the way of the dodo bird. As a last resort, I decided to try my luck and search Amazon. Lo, and behold, it was here! This plant is absolutely adorable and perfect for your botanist and avid plant enthusiast! The plant leaves are so tiny you really have to get up close to see them but the detail is exquisite in the tiny spikes and green leaves. I love the clear gel on the bottom, as I can see the thick textured roots spreading out as the plant grows. The cover is detachable but firmly sealed to ensure a safe environment for the plant to grow. Since you don't have to water or feed this plant, it's completely transportable! I leave it by my window during the day to get a good bit of sunlight, and the condensation on the top of the glass lets me know the water is reaching my little guy. This plant was an awesome gift and we can't wait for the day when it's ready to plant! Ideal for young kids or full grown adults, and a great way to teach about science!

I purchased for a Christmas gift. It was packaged securely so I’m not sure at what point things went wrong. I have ordered from the company before and every time has been a positive experience. I do understand it’s winter but my last order was this time last year and I received a beautiful flytrap which was planted this past spring and is thriving. My little cousin was fascinated so I thought it would make a good gift. Things happen, I understand that. I’m just pretty bummed i have to figure something else out.

My kids love the concept of this, and were even more excited to receive their very own. I love that it requires basically no care initially, so that we (hopefully) will not kill it. The container is clear all around, so you can watch it grow. The roots are black and look fuzzy - of course a hit with the kids! I've had ours for about a month and it's already grown quite a bit. Interesting item.

Recibido en muy buen estado. Las dos plantitas llegaron bien embaladas. Ahora solo queda que crezcan para transplantarlas ya que ya tengo el sustrato debido que anteriormente compre semillas pero aparentemente eran viejas o eran falsas ya que nunca germinaron.Mi pregunta ahora es que tanto tiempo habrá que esperar para trasplantar.Actualizacion despues de 4 meses con las plantitas. Para sorpresa mía me he tenido que mantener en contacto ya que lamentablemente ya hecho 2 cambios más y ya creo que no voy a perder más el tiempo.La primeras que me llegaron en enero solo me duraron hasta mediados de febrero de allí literalmente se pusieron chocolates y empezaron a morir. Las ponga en sombras o donde sea termina pasando lo mismo y eso lo probe con el primer cambio que me mandaron ambas nuevas.De verdad que el servicio al cliente es muy bueno y me lo han demostrado pero el producto en sí no. En el segundo cambio solo pedi 1 porque de las primer cambio que me mandaron vino con hongo 1 y eventualmente murió. La otra se mantuvo algo más pero ya visiblemente esta chocolate. Esperemos que la última sobreviva esta vez para poderla trasplantar.

These are really cool plants, we have purchased a couple, but be careful because you get really excited to see your plant and are immediately inclined to open it as soon as you see it which compromises the sterility for the terrarium (leading to potential mold and health risks to the plant as it is designed)! The company sends a little card that warns you not to open it, but its too late by the time you read it!

i’ve had this little venus flytrap tissue culture for a week now and it’s doing great so far! they do start out tiny but i like that because it’s fun to watch these little guys grow (albeit they will grow slowly, but that’s good because i don’t want to have to transplant it for a while lol)

I don’t know what the point of this is us. It came half dead and now it’s fully dead. It was a waste of money. I wouldn’t recommend it

I would have added a picture but i threw it away already. It started growing mold and after like a day the mold just took over. My son was so excited about it then so sad when I had to throw it out. :(
