This thing is a game changer! We had an addition to our home done and added this to our new shower. The shower is amazing! It’s so cool to have a nice steam shower before an actual shower. This steam shower heats up quickly and holds the heat nicely. It’s not super loud either.

Do not buy this steam generator or, if you must, be careful if you buy from Amazon. I bought this as part of a complete bathroom remodeling project being done by a contractor. We were advised to order everything up front because product availability was causing problems with delays. We ordered EVERYTHING from Amazon, including this steam generator. As the work progressed we experienced delays with tile supply. By the time they ran a dedicated 220V line and plumbed in the pipes that would run the steam the 30 day Amazon return period had elapsed (this is your first warning!) AND the shower walls were tiled in (second warning!). Of course when the steam generator was connected NOTHING happened. After first trying to contact the manufacturer, a call to Amazon resulted in a response from someone at a place called "swcorp". We were instructed to produce and submit a video showing product installation. Back out come the electrician and the plumber ($$) and a video was produced. After a few days they wanted pictures of the connectors between the box and the controller. That resulted in them sending a new motherboard for us to install (more visits by the plumber and electrician) and again, NOTHING works. At this time, after some begging, they sent us a replacement controller which also didn't work. So I called Amazon back and they said they would authorize a refund. So out comes the electrician again to disconnect the electrical lines. I was able to disconnect the water and steam lines and package the unit for return to Amazon. Today I drag the entire thing to UPS and when I read the fine print on the return label - they are only refunding part of what I paid due to the 30 day return period having expired. I'm not sure whether these steam generators are any good. I doubt it based on our experience. But, if you do decide to take the chance, make sure you somehow test the device before installation (sort of hard to do) and don't let the 30 day return window elapse. These are likely not a problem if you are doing the work yourself but a huge issue for people that are using a contractor to do the work and can't control the schedule. I can't recommend this product and also would like to warn people doing large remodeling projects to be careful what and when you buy from Amazon. At the very least watch your return window - hard to do when you are depending on someone else to do the work.

I've had this thing installed and operation for a few weeks now. So far its worked pretty well and I am overall very satisfied. It really steams up the 4x8x8 shower where i installed it. I ran into a few issues during installation. I'll try to outline them here in case they help anyone in the future and to help the seller make a better product. Firstly, the connectors for the control panel are terrible. I was extremely careful with mine each time I tried to make a connection and I still ended up bending one of the pins, and once bent, there is no chance of going back. I had to cut off the heads and splice the wires together manually. It was a big time sink messing with that but I eventually got it to work this way. I looked online for replacement cables as well, but couldn't find anything. If you have to splice like I did, just match the colors and make sure you connect the shielding as well. i gotta say given the design of those connectors, its very likely you may have to do so. Also, be prepared to really do a lot of copper pipe sautering as part of the installation. You also need a couple of parts that aren't included, but you can get them at your nearest hardware store. Mine did not have a 1in to 3/4in adapter that worked with the included pressure release valve, so I had to pick one of those up. When installing the steam head, try turning it upside down from what is shown. Depending on how close you are to the ground this may make a substantial difference in the amount of steam. The instructions are unclear at best, obviously not written by a native english speaker and difficult to follow and were the worst part of the installation experience. Also, I still can't figure out how to actually set the clock on the control panel, but all that aside, I'm happy with my purchase and it does for sure do a great job of heating and steaming.

Great price, as good as the big-name brands.

I bought two of these for my home. One went in just fine and works well. The other never worked, and will never work. meanwhile, the support guys keep dragging it out by continually asking the same questions, more questions, asking for pictures, asking for the same pictures again, then wanting more pictures, etc. Its been getting dragged out for months. crazy...

I love this unit! This is the second steam spa I've owned, I installed one in my last house and can't live without it, so I purchased another for my new house. I use it with every shower. In the winter I add eucalyptus oil in the reservoir. I bought a long handled clamp that I keep in the shower to clean my jewelry while I'm in there, might as well.

Do not buy this. Does not work. You will have to fight for return as seller tries to charge a restocking fee! Claims that he does not have to post the fees on the listing page. That I should go to the seller pages.
