just received my long awaited pen onboard! and so totally disappointed!!what I got is a roller and not a fountain pen!!how is this possible.?

What I like: it's solid, the resin (acrylic really, for what I've read) is nicer than your average plastic pen, as expected from the brand, and the finishing and detailing is really conscientious and well-done. It's a beautiful modern, minimalist design (not your typical Grandpa's/Liberace, frou-frou, bling-bling, gold-plated Montblanc). It's a pleasure to hold and contemplate, with very nice attention to detail, very solid. It's a great writer: I've had issues with other brands (like skipping, dry starts, scratchy feedback, too wet, too dry...) and this one writes really, really nicely (and that's what you want a pen for, right?). My medium nib is a bit on the wet side, I guess that's what a medium is anyway (not a deal breaker to me).What I don't like: I wish I could give it more than three stars but (1) it really bothers me that it can't post. (2) At this price range it should be a converter or piston fill. And (3), the magnetic system of the cap, although it clicks, it feels a bit on the loose, flimsy side. Also: I wish the black had the orange accent of the ultra black (a very nice touch). And the piano finish may have to be protected from scratches (I'm speaking apriori but I received a Meisterstück as a gift, same material, and it's a scratch magnet).I'll keep it as my desk pen and client meetings pen.

Beautiful Modern Sleek, I never really wanted a Mont Blanc until the M came out. Marc Newson is a famous industrial designer so I am not surprised he did an excellent job trying to appeal to a slightly younger market. What I love about it is the design is still very iconic while an updated look and some innovations. One cool feature is the cap. It is magnetic and aligns to the the plateau on the other end of the barrel. Secondly, be creating an interesting flat part at the end, the designer added a second location for the logo so you can see it while you are writing with the cap off. It's edgy and classic at the same time without being gimmicky like the Mont Blanc Starwalker.
