PNYCS2130 M.2 NVMe Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) 1TB - up to 3500 MB/s

I brought This M.2 NVME SSD just for DCS World which at the moment for me is over 250GB and climbing. It was not to expensive compared to other SSD's on the market and it dose the job.

Great value and worth the little extra you pay over cheaper nvme m.2 drives. Installed the drive in an aging laptop which used to only have a hdd. The boot times are outstanding in both windows and linux.Installation was realtively easy; far easier than installing a sata drive. All it required for the install was a screw driver and the standoff screw which most motherboards come with. It should be noted that the drive did not come with any spare standoff screws.Thinkness of the drive was not an issue even inside my laptop with its limited space since it lacks a heatsink.

I wanted to upgrade the existing 250Gb SSD in my Mac Mini (late 2014). This SSD has the wrong connector for the SSD slot in a Mac Mini, but I got round that by using a converter - see https://smile.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07T6L2RJM/ref=cm_sw_em_r_mt_dp_U_tW53EbFH0E17E for an example of one and my review, which contains instructions on how to do it.If you have a Mac Mini (late 2014) without an SSD, this SSD can be installed, but it is a bit more fiddly fixing the various connectors and ribbon cables needed to make it work. However, I can confirm that, fundamentally, this SSD is compatible with a Mac Mini (late 2014).

I chose as it was on offer on black friday and faster than similar drives. I'd not installed an M2 drive before so its a bit strange to have to screw it into the motherboard. There's no instructions in the box but was easy enough to find a youtube video and pretty simple to fit. I haven't tested the speed but Windows loads noticeably faster than an ssd so its well worth the small premium and that's apart from how much tidier it is.

Only £299 for 2tb model was very good value for such a fast M2 drive. Using as a scratch drive in Photoshop, with program on a samsung 980 Pro M2, with Ryzen 5600x. Initially caused photoshop to crash, but resolved when removed troublesome plugin.

Bought on Prime Day for £45 with free delivery. At that price its great value. Its fast and stable. Not much else to be said. Could have spent double on a Gen 4 drive but really not fussed.

Bought this so could upgrade the memory in my PS5 and it works perfectly!
