I bought these as although I take a multi vit I was getting leg cramps at night and I read it could be a lack of magnesium. These cured it in two days and the added benefit has been that it seriously improved my quality of sleep!

The capsules arrived next day after ordering (UK). No problems. You just swallow with water.

These capsules contain two sources of magnesium; magnesium oxide and magnesium pidolate. The oxide is less easily absorbed but the pidolate is easily absorbed. Sixty capsules are in the pack and, although the recommended dose is two casules per day giving 600mg, there is a note that taking more than 400mg a day can cause stomach sensitivity in some people. The ingredients appear to be vegan as per the brand name.

I was recommended by my physio to start taking magnesium to help with my aching muscles after exercising, noticed a big difference after only taking for a few weeks my sleep pattern has also improved. Great buy!

To help reduce cramps caused by other prescription medicines, this has helped a lot. Has caused a bit of indigestion occasionally, otherwise essentially a good product.

I do find a benefit in taking magnesium so I order it regularly and was pleased when this product came up for review.It's a high strength, vegan product packaged in the predictable plastic tub.It's not the cheapest brand on the market.I probably wouldn't purchase again mainly because theres so much choice and I am now able to pick the product that ticks all of my boxes regarding dosage, packaging, manufacturing and ethical business practices.If you have done your research and think that you might benefit from including a magnesium supplement and have looked into dosage and side effects perhaps this might be for you.

Nutritionists have found that nearly everyone is deficient in this important essential mineral so I have been taking magnesium in tablet form for many years now. I am impressed that the preparation focuses on absorption, so often one can take tablets or capsules but the body has difficulty in actually absorbing the vitamins or minerals.In this preparation one capsule delivers 300mg and the recommended dose for men is 2 capsules. On line they say that ‘women may need slightly less’ however this is not stated on the container. They do give a warning that ‘Taking more than 400g of magnesium per day can cause stomach sensitivity in certain individuals.’ I find this very vague and general as unfortunately magnesium supplements have a well-known laxative effect so I always take the smallest dose. You have to find your own threshold. The problem with this preparation is that as each capsule is 300g it is hard to take a smaller dose. The magnesium preparations I am used to are 150 – 160g per capsule so it is easier to find the dose you can tolerate well.The capsules are larger than average with no odour or after taste. I don’t find swallowing tablets and capsules easy but managed these OK.At the current price of £ 11.99 for one month’s supply taking the recommended daily dose of 2 capsules, it seems very expensive. Although is you find that you can tolerate one capsule a day it becomes more affordable at £ 6.00 per month depending on your supplements budget of course. This preparation is gluten, lactose free and suitable for vegans.
