Silpat The Original Perfect Muffin Mold

I have been using my Silpat muffin pan about every other week for the last 5+ years. No problems whatsoever. Muffins release well. Pan cleans up easily.

I love making muffins, and do so often. A few months ago, I made egg muffins for breakfast in a nonstick metal muffin pan. They stuck to the pan, even when the pan was greased, and we’re a complete ragged mess. This event led me to look for another solution. I hesitated buying this because of the expense, but honestly, this product bakes muffins of all kinds perfectly. And the muffins are usually ready ten minutes sooner than when baked in metal pans. And when they’re done, I flip over the SilPat pan and out they tumble. Effortlessly. Worth every penny, and super easy to clean. If you love muffins, this is your pan! My only complaint is that they don’t have a jumbo muffin pan.

The media could not be loaded. I have used this product for many years with excellent results. I held off buying my first one because the cost seemed tough to justify. I am so glad I did buy that first one and won’t go back. I love that I can just make muffins or cupcakes without the papers, and I find there is a lot less mess by filling the pan directly with out the papers. My baking is all for family and friends (no bake sales or large group events) and these “pans” are perfect for that. Very easy to wash by hand. When I have space in the dishwasher I do put them in there but really it’s not usually worth the bother as they are so easy to clean. I do recommend following the instruction to not keep them in a drawer under the oven - I missed that with my first one of these and I think it did reduce the nonstick factor over time. So, with my new one, I have found a different place to store it.

Non-stick, easy to clean, better than traditional metal pans

Silpat is a great product and are not cheap - I have numerous silpat items - I bought these to use when I make custard tarts - and I like them getting brown and crispy - on the outside - unfortunately they did not as it seems you need a metal pan for the heat - these are a great product for any muffins - but if your looking to really brown something you need to stick to metal pans

You do have to put it on a cookie sheet imo as it’s not structural. I do add a tiny bit of olive oil to the cups prior to loading them if I’m in a pinch, but it really helps if you have the time or patience to let the egg bites cool and they pop right out even without oil as I have done both. I have also used for banana muffins and cupcakes. And when I do egg bites I use a slightly deeper pan and add water, perfection! Also no silicone taste like some brands cause.

I bought the Silpat muffin mold specifically for egg bites. I used no spray or grease of any kind. Poured the scrambled egg/cheese mix in, even getting some mixture on the top surface, baked as directed, and EVERYTHING came free cleanly and easily with no mess and no scrubbing. Super easy!

I’m making cupcakes for my 4 year old’s birthday ant daycare and, ordinarily, I hate making cupcakes, solely because the mess it leaves on the cupcake tin. Scrubbing, avoidance, my husband hates them too.These cupcakes almost fell from the pan - I’m in awe and shock. I can’t wait to try some egg muffins. Sure it’s expensive - but the relief and the ease is amazing. I’m definitely going to be a loyal customer to this brand!!
