the moon (the northern collection) Paperback – January 1, 2020

I ordered this book after following her on Instagram for some time. It was amazing to read this book and have all these poems in my hand. For a long time I was unhappy with how my life was going, and I have been at a place now where I can truly say that I am happy again. This book resonated with so many parts of me....the high school me, the college me, the first adult job me, the heartbroken over an abusive partner me, the newly married me, the healed and whole me. I don't know how else to say that I highly recommend this book and will definitely keep my copy forever. Just waiting for the next one now!

Kamilla’s prose is beautifully and artfully constructed, able to touch hearts as deeply as readers will allow. Her illustrations are unique to each poem and visually expand the author’s conveyed perception. Arranged thoughtfully from the first excerpt to the last, “the moon” is a wonderful read in any setting, eloquently bringing attention to the inward questions that often get overlooked in daily life. “the moon” is a soft reminder to remain soft, open, and attentive every day, without being too abstract or long-winded! I've been a long time follower on Instagram. I was super excited then this book got released. I purchased a personal copy immediately. The following day I purchased 3 more copies so that I could gift them to family and friends. Such an amazing read. You can relate and connect with each poem. It's amazing how some poems are short with a few words and yet they hit you hard and pull you in. I cannot wait for future books to come.

These poems are beautiful. Some will make you stop and smile, some will move you to tears. There were a few typos throughout which was a little disappointing, but overall this book is excellent. It came in perfect condition. A little smaller/thinner than I was expecting, but full of great writing. Highly recommend.

Nearly every single poem resonated with me. I’m not typically one to read poetry, but this collection has me changing my mind. I will definitely keep coming back to this book over and over.

This book is an absolute pleasure to read. Her poems are so relatable and thought provoking - my best friend and I read this book together in a day! Many of her lines are definitely tattoo worthy ;) I for sure cannot wait for more books like this!
