CURT 55415 Replacement 7-Way RV Blade Connector, Factory Tow Package and USCAR Socket Required , Black

I purchased this item to replace my old worn out plug in the bed of my 2018 Chevy Silverado. It was very easy to install. The holes matched perfect to the original for an OEM fit. and the plug in connector in the back matched. It look great and works just like the original. I am frequently driving off road and in various weather conditions. This plug far exceeds my expectations.

BE SURE TO SAVE YOUR OLD CLIPS! At least, for my truck, the old plastic clips from the OEM install were critical to keep the new connector locked into the mate, or plug, that's just upstream of the new socket. It's truly plug-n-play, but without that clip, there's a good chance the plug could work it's way loose. After taking a look at the set up, I do think you could drill a couple of holes and sink a couple of set screws, to create a pinch, in a ... pinch.The install was pretty easy. To save you a bit of time and grief, if you have the same truck, the screws have a really odd sized head, so be sure to grab your 7/32 socket. The little clips took a bit of fussing with to secure, but it wasn't rocket surgery. So, for around $18, this is a nice replacement to my 21 year old trailer connection. That's under a buck a year ;).

Great product. Purchased the item for the factory set up on my 2018 Audi Q7. Already had the tow package with the exception of the plug. Worked perfectly. Used factory screws. Recommend.

The plug is really not much different than many competitors in quality and function. Likely fine going with any of them that are similar. This one was inexpensive and a recognized name in the trailer accessory segment.There is no hardware supplied, and no dimensions for the product or suggested uses to help decide on which hardware one may require. Neither instructions nor detailed product specifications are available on the website. The consumer is left to figure out details themselves. General information is out there, but one would think that the more detailed information would be provided by Curt.Two attempts to reach customer service through methods published on the company website received absolutely zero acknowledgement.I expect the product should work well enough, and I can get it installed, not really the point. I later purchased other far more expensive hitch products from a different manufacturer due to lack of responsiveness and support from Curt. Losing sales in this manner for want of simple support requests makes one wonder.

I made the mistake of buying a different connection because Amazon indicated that it was a fit for my Cayenne and this one was not. As it turned out the one I bought originally wasn’t close to being a fit but this one was perfect and took less than 10 minutes to install.

The media could not be loaded.  I bought this in hopes that the hole pattern would line up with my bracket on the Audi factory towing package. I have a 2015 Audi Q7 and the USCAR plug clipped right into this part, and the bolt pattern is identical to the OEM bracket. I did a little research and it appears Audi sells 1 x 7-way to USCAR adapter for multiple model years of vehicle, so I would guess this will work for any model year of Audi Q7, and also might fit any Audi that has a factory towing package. I would recommend you do research on your own to confirm this, but it is my assumption. Definitely thrilled I did not have to modify my vehicle to make this fit!
