After surgery to repair my broken hip, that leg turned out to be 2 cm or 3/4" shorter. This definitely made for a lopsided gait and strain on my back. I bought a couple of products that you had to stack 1/4" layers to get the required lift. These tended to slip around. This one solid piece of plastic fits snugly in my shoe, doesn't move around and provides the 2 cm that I need.

There is an adjustment period for going from not wearing orthopedic inserts to wearing them. Don't expect them to fix everything right away you will never find a solution that way.That said the adjustment period was shorter with this wedge than usual. I was quite pleased.

Lots of back issues to due to difference in leg length. I've ordered several different brands but these are the BEST!I don't wear shoes in the house so I couldn't figure out what to do. I bought those sock-type things that you can insert the lift into, but they just didn't work well due to fabric slipping, etc. PROBLEM SOLVED with these!The best part of these--and I really mean this--is that they self stick! Even to your skin! I can literally stick one of these to my bare heel and slip both foot and lift inside the my sock, which means I've got the extra height on my left foot whether I'm shoeless or not. and it doesn't move around because it self sticks. It's like magic. I can slip my foot inside all of my shoes without issue.I only need one at a time so these are perfect for rotating them. When I get ready to wash them I soak in hot soapy water, scrub off the lint from my socks, and let them air dry. And in a few minutes they're ready to go, stickiness has returned full force and I'm a happy lady whose back issues have nearly disappeared due to these little wonders.
