Was surprised by the quality of this item. It is being used as a decorative indoor piece that is bolted to my sons "pirate ship" bed. cant say it would hold up well steering a real pirate ship but it works just fine for us

I am very pleased with the 18 inch wheel. I‘m wishing I ordered the bigger one. This is a surprise for my husband and this will be fine for now. I am pleasantly surprised by how well it is made and looks beautiful.

Very sturdy and kids love it on their playset!

Poor finish and it came one color in all dark brown not like the photo showed of light and dark brown. The varnish was very rough and looked like a kid varnish it for a school project.

I have been looking for one for awhile now but found they were way to expensive just to hang on my house ...This ships wheel was VERY reasonable in price and better quality that I expected. Well made and very real looking.

I purchased this item with the intent to cut them in half and use them as headboards for my kids bedroom. It came out beautifully! Very well built!

Seems solid and well made. I have no idea what the inner core behind the "metal" could be. Mounted mine on the deck over-looking the ocean and jury-rigged so it could turn and took my house for a cruise... Used 1/2" galvanized pipe for axle, Short piece of copper tubbing over that and some big 7/8" (opening) galvanized and neoprene washers on both sides, and greased it up!

Grandpa got my son into pirates and ships with all the nautical stuff at his house. My son wanted to have a pretend ship, but we didn't have any good wheels for him. I went on Amazon thinking it was a long shot to find something that would work and not be too expensive. Then I found this wheel. It was a slam dunk! He loves it and keeps it perched on his nugget full time, always ready to take to the high seas!
