The Canon LP-E10 battery can be useful as a back-up or replacement for a broken or misplaced battery for the EOS Rebel T3 digital camera. This allows you to continue taking pictures or recording video without having the interruption of a drained battery. Don't miss another photo opportunity at any event. This Canon replacement battery is compatible with the EOS Rebel T3 digital camera, as well as similar models in the Rebel Series.

Charged right up and works in camera
I charged this (didn’t take more than a few hours although I don’t know exactly how long as I wasn’t paying attention), put it in my Canon Rebel camera, and my camera works and shows full battery life. So far appears to be the genuine Canon product. Can’t speak to battery life yet but I’m happy with it at present.

Great battery
Do not go cheap and buy an unknown battery brand. The canon battery is just as good as the battery that came with the camera and lasts a long time.

so far seems good
Received the battery quickly. So far it seem to work. It is a Canon battery, not a substitute brand x battery. I would have given 5 stars, but the battery came in a zip lock baggie, not a sealed blister pack. I don't know why this is; maybe they buy in a bulk package and break up the individual units? I do not know. This is a much better buy than from one of the other low priced advertisers. I won't mention the name (it would probably be blocked) of the seller - but see if you recognize this scenario:I ordered the battery, then got a call from the un-named seller stating the battery is on back order. But they will "do me a great favor and sell me a brand x battery with a higher capacity", all at a HIGHER cost! Why would I buy a brand x battery at a higher price even with a higher capacity? There are other sellers which are much more forthcoming in stating they are selling a brand x battery at a higher capacity and a LOWER price! When I pointed this out to them, they said "OK - I will give you a 5.00 discount." I said no. They said with a sigh "okay - I will give you a 10.00 discount - and I just sold this battery to my sister and it is a great battery." I said no - they replied"fine - you can wait for the back order" and hung up on me.Sound familiar? I tried ordering a camcorder battery from this same un-named company last year and got the exact same story! Just how many batteries are you selling to your sister? LOL.Anyway - at least Zee Mo is sending a Canon battery :-)

A must for Canon DSLR users...
One of the few drawbacks of Canon DSLRs (or at least those similar to the Canon EOS Rebel T3 1100D) is total reliance on Canon proprietary form-factor batteries and stand-alone chargers. You won't need to stock up on lithium batteries or make sure you have a USB cable for charging...because these options aren't available. This is the same Canon-labled battery that shipped with the camera. As with any battery, usable charge will vary with conditions and use cases. For modern Canon DSLRs, the primary variables are the abmient temperature the camera is used in (colder air = reduced operation time), use of the camera's integrated flash and the following shooting modes:(1) through the viewfinder *without* using the EOS "Live View" feature (the user guide estimates ~800 images with no flash at 73 degrees (F) and ~750 at 32 degrees (F). With 50% flash use, these numbers decrease to ~700 and ~650, respectively.(2) with EOS Live View: 240 images (no flash at 73 deg (F), 220 with 50% flash use (these decrease to 230 and 210 at 32 deg (F)0.(3) movie mode: ~110 minutes recording time at 73 deg (F) and 90 minutes at 32 deg (F).Charging time when new is around two hours, and generally under an hour after the initial charge. If you have a day or night of high volume photography ahead: get a second charged so you're not cut short by lack of portable power.Prices vary widely, and some are "equivalents" or replacements and not Canon-branded: you'll have to decide how much risk you can tolerate:-)

Excellent!
I bought a Canon Rebel T3 at Best Buy. It came with a Canon battery that works great. I wanted a back up battery so I bought one of their Digipower brand batteries for nearly double the price of what I paid for this Canon battery. The Digipower battery is crap! It dies very quickly and does not hold a charge for long. I bought this Canon battery for $30 ($35 delivered) and the first time out, it more than outperformed the Digipower POS I bought at Best Buy. As far as delivery, AMAZING! I ordered on Mon night, confirmed on Tues and received my order on Thursday! One day before the 5 day window of delivery I was given as an expected delivery date. My battery was nicely packed in bubble wrap and a small cushioned envelope so I was happy. I have read some reviews of people complaining that they didn't get the pretty little Canon factory packaging with the battery. Well let me put it this way, BB wanted $100 for the Canon battery, I paid $35 and it works great! With the $65 I saved, I can go buy some real pretty girt wrap and make it look really freakin' pretty if it were that important ha ha!

Great deal on two batteries
I purchased this pack on sale and would highly recommend buying now if it's on sale again. I wasn't willing to shell out $70+ for one legit Canon battery, but got lucky with the sale for two at that price. Both batteries are 100% Canon equipment, not one of the ones made by another manufacturer. Currently using only one of the two, but I'll probably keep the other one fully charged as a back up.
