Q: Is this too big/heavy for a petite 7yr old?

It is not too heavy for a "petite" 7 year old, however, I must warn you that this luggage does not look as it does online. It is more of a yellow color, and it feels cheap. It also has a very chemical like smell. I returned it and bought the "Samsonite Luggage Winfield 2 Fashion HS Spinner 20." There are different sizes, I believe there is a smaller size than the 20. It is light and rolls really well. The quality is much better. I hope this helps.

Sure, no reason it couldn't be for a man. It is well built, sturdy but light weight and easily identifiable at baggage claim. No reason at all that it could not be for a man. But, I will tell you I bought the Paris one for my 10 year daughter.

No, it is "carry-on" size. It is fit in overhead compartment.

Q: There are two sets of rockland 20 inch polycarbonate luggages one with colors snake, crocodile other with new york, departure...which once are better?

They're all the same, just the pattern on the outside is different. I have the New York one, and my sister has the zebra print with the pink trim, and they're the same suitcase. Very durable, fits lots of stuff, and a perfect carry on.
