Bira 3 inch Die Cutting & Embossing Machine, Mini Die Cut Machine, 3 1/8" Feeding Slot for 3" Paper (Machine)

Have had a Cuttlebug for many years, but wanted a smaller lighter machine. Picked this one as it has a full 3" width opening, and this machine actually embosses better than the Cuttlebug. The handle turned so easily that at first I thought I had gotten the plate configuration wrong, but it worked great! I have attached a photo of a Crafters Companion die that my Cuttlebug was unable to emboss - a little hard to see, but the Bira did a great job!

I was so excited to get this machine in yesterday. I couldn’t wait to open it!! Very cute and compact, perfect to add smaller designs in my scrapbooks. However, unfortunately it does not work. I was looking through the reviews (guess I should have done that before purchasing), but one of the videos showed the EXACT issue I am having. The instruction say to use “this plate” add your die then paper and top with “another” plate, I did just that, and put it in the slot. A couple turns of the handle and yes, it did catch and start going through, except for when it came to the die going through, it just got stuck at the beginning of the die, the plates would turn to the side a little bit and nothing would happen, it just got stuck. My husband tried and had to force the plates through, and that worked, however, we should not have to use force to push the plates through. I thought maybe I needed to turn the plate on the opposite side, and again, stuck and turned to the side. Unfortunately I am going to return this as there is no use for something that obviously does not work. Very sad I have to find another one and wait, once again, to continue with my scrapbooking.

I had to modify the “sandwich “ to work with my dies but it is a good size and I like that it has a three inch feeding slot.

Wanted to love this, but it is a big miss. I followed the instructions to a T, but even with a thin metal die the plate just won’t go through. I have to forcefully push it in while trying to hold the machine down (the suction cups do not work well) and it becomes a time-consuming struggle.

Product might be okay for embossing, but after only 6 die cuts the plates stopped feeding through.( C and B plates with paper and die per instructions. ) It will start cutting, then the plates stop feeding, slipping as the handle keeps turning.

Better than I expected! Love this little machine. Very sturdy and makes excellent cuts. I really like the size which allows me to keep it out for use. Do I recommend this machine? Absolutely 😃👍🏻

I bought this machine because I wanted to make pretty little note cards to take bible notes and add to my interleaved bible. I also was hoping to do craft projects with my girls. The plates keep getting stuck with the die cut in the sandwich. The plates go through by themselves but not with a die. That makes this machine useless. I don’t have any embossing folders and don’t need 2 machines to do 2 jobs when there are machines that work and do both. I was really hoping this machine would work because right after Christmas this is what I could afford. And the suction cup thing that holds it to the table might as well not even be there.
