I bought this cover for my 2017 Raptor, 5.5' bed. I was going back and forth between this and a folding cover, my chief concern with the retractable being the loss of bed space due to the canister where the cover rolls up. After getting it and using it for about 3 months now I am glad I went with the Retrax. My primary need for a cover was for bed security, not to keep water out and have another dry space. So the Retrax with its fully adjustable locking positions was ideal. There is some water intrusion in certain spots, as can be seen in the pictures. The pictures with water were taken after heavy periods of rain, and the water intrusion was minimal. If you are looking for a completely dry bed then this might not be your thing, but I think most items would be quite fine sitting in the back through a storm. My bed is fully LineXed and I still have great drainage for water does get past the cover. Most of the water coming in stays on the side, or corners where it trickles down. The best way to describe it would be like water on a cave wall, it doesn't pool anywhere just makes the surface look wet. I plan on having most of my gear inside containers anyway, so the cover keeps enough water out for my needs.Installation was straigtforward and easy in terms of instructions and steps. I do recommend a second person to help out, it makes alignment of the rails and cover much easier. I did not install the drain tubes for the cannister. As I mentioned earlier I wasn't so concerned with water, and my grommets were LineXed over and I didn't feel like punching through them. The quality of the parts are good. The metal surface can get hot in the summer, but it looks great and is very sturdy. The weight of the cover sliding open and closed is enough to feel solid but not too much effort for an adult. A kid might struggle a bit, if they can even reach that high. Keep in mind the alignment of the rails will affect how well it retracts and opens, so more time spent getting a good fit will pay off later.I like being able to lock the cover partially open. It comes in handy for odd shaped items that might stick up higher than the bed level, but stil keep them secured from a quick grab. I have not found the lost space of the cannister to be an issue either. There is a gap underneath it, allowing for long flat items to go the length of the bed.

Very nice, and worth the expense in my opinion.
The end result is worth the cost and trouble. I must have watch videos a dozen times, but I still made a mistake during the installation. Not really a fault of the product, but more my hurry to get it done. I think this is a two man job because most people will only do this once, and it helps to have someone to add an opinion or suggestion. My mistake was not remembering to release the locking mechanism before installing the driver side rail. You really can’t get the top to enter the rail if you don’t release the latch. We realized this pointed screw was stopping the installation, and adjusted it out of the way. That’s when the light went off in my head. From that point on the installation went as intended. I am very pleased with the look and functionality. My wife and I do a lot of traveling, and this provides the security for the enormous quantity of things we have to carry on our trips. This is about as easy as it gets to cover an open area, but still have it secure. Totally satisfied.

The Best Cover - Spend the Money!
Definitely a 2 man job to install. The whole thing is supported by 2 bolts, which I was skeptical about, but it seems to be working. Had it on for almost two years. Open and close it constantly and I put stuff in top of it and it shows no wear. I also got shipped a dented one at first, and the seller did an excellent job of getting me a new one quickly.

A seriously good tonneau cover, but not perfect
I did a lot of online research and talking to buddies before buying this tonneau. It's expensive, so I my expectations were high. In most regards, I've been pleased. It is easy to install, it rolls nicely (okay, maybe not so good after an ice or snow storm, but what cover would...), and it is made with heavy-duty materials. I like the lock-it-in-any-position feature. That said, I have two complaints. One, the flap that covers the latch (and keyhole for the lock) seems flimsy and doesn't always stay closed. The flimsiness worries me, because I expect that in a couple of years it'll break off. The not-staying-closed issue is a problem, because dirt and rain and ice can get into the mechanism and then it doesn't work so well. My second concern is the latch itself. The tolerances must be very tight, because sometimes I just can't get it to latch and stay latched. (This is compounded by the flap issues.) But even when dry and clean, it doesn't want to engage when it's really cold. Overall I like it, but the flap and latch issues keep me from loving it.

Best on market.
This is my second set of Retrax. The first set went on a '13 Raptor. This one goes on a 2020 Raptor.Install is pretty simple. Just watch the video. It's definitely a two person job, so bring a friend. The most difficult part was getting the rollers into the side rail. After that it's a piece of cake.I live in a rural area, with washboard dirt roads that destroys basically everything. I can give you an idea of this based on my 6 years of use in my '13 raptor. I'm please at how tight and rattle free it was. On my road everything eventually shakes loose. I did have to readjust this cover once during those years to get it to roll smooth. It's pretty water proof. I've ran it through a few carwashes and there's some leak, mostly around the back tail gate area. And after years of constant rattling, the lock latch became difficult to engage. I guess if I kept it cleaner, perhaps it wouldn't be an issue. I think I must be the roughest user of any trucks, and I can tell you this Retrax does hold up. That's why I bought it again when I got my new Raptor.
