These are not advertised as "weighted" pieces. They have a little weight to them but not much. But they do not fall over easily. These chess pieces seem well made and have a good feel. I'm impressed with the quality for the price. My handmade chess board has 1.8" squares. These pieces seem just a little big on my board, but I still like them and they still look great. I would say they would be perfect for a 2"-2 1/2" per square board.

Purchased for my son who is a beginner at chess.Upgrade from his plastic learner set and goes nicely with the custom/homemade chess board.These chess pieces are quite nice. A little light (not weighted) but otherwise look great. I did have a couple missing pawns (maybe due to a previous return?) as well as a couple pieces where the wood had cracked (normal with solid wood products). Amazon of course let me replace the set no problems.Would recommend.

These were a gift to my son for his Chess board coffee table, they are of high quality wood and fit the table perfectly as he needed a large size
