Good latch, good customer service
Push Button Latch Lock Cupboard Door Knob Alloy Handle Nickel Plated Small Replacement for RV CAMPERVAN CARAVAN MOTORHOME Furniture within 18-25MM ThicknessI like the design of this latch. The button and handle part is all metal and has a really sturdy feel (the back part -- black in the product photo -- is plastic, but seems sturdy enough). I did have one problem. When the latch I received is in the latched condition (button pressed in), it sometimes takes 3 or 4 presses to make it release. Not a terrible problem, but pretty inconvenient. I wrote the company's customer service, hoping for suggestions about how to fix it. I didn't ask for a replacement, but they apologized and immediately shipped me another latch without charge. The second one works just fine.

Works fine, but difficult to install due to lack of dimensions
I'm actually using two of them as unobtrusive flush latches for a hinged attic ceiling scuttle in a finished room. It works fine. The latch holds the scuttle shut and it pops open when you hit the button. The only downside is that this comes with absolutely zero instructions, and by instructions I mostly mean dimensions for install. Where does the latch plate go relative to the fixed panel surface? Beats me! How far from the edge of the panel should you drill for the button shaft? Who knows?! You'll send a lot of time trying to figure out exactly how to place this so that it engages the latch plate correctly instead of missing completely or slamming into the frame, especially if you can't climb in to the other side of the door and hold things in place with the door closed to mark them.

Poor quality
I had the same experience as Tank girl's review. The latches were great until the first road trip. Then they didn't work. There's a little spring gadget on the back that won't work when you pull on the handle. I had to get something under the drawer edge and pop it open. It doesn't matter if it's locked or not. Either way it pops open only when you pry it.

Great for RV's or enclosed trailer cabinets
These are great for RV's and in my case an enclosed trailer with cabinets. I bought these to replace the padlocks that the previous owner used to hold the cabinet doors shut. These are very nice and easy to mount. Having a 1" hole saw will make drilling the hole easy. My cabinet door was only around 3/4" thick, so I used a large o-ring on the outside near the button and then the fit was perfect. The hardest part of the install was mounting the tabs on the inside of the cabinet at the right position to let the latch fully engage.Push the button in for a very nice flush cabinet door and this locks the cabinet from opening. Push the button and it comes out. The button is then pulled to open the cabinet. I removed the standard white handles and filled in the holes. Now I only use the button to open the cabinets. This was a great product.

Latch needs more metal.
Screws are not long enough for 3/4 Inch doors. Latch needs more metal. Latch needs more than one push sometimes to open.

Look to the Southco brand for a more sturdy while more expensive alternative
While these are stylish and fairly simple, they could be greatly improved upon by eliminating the plastic on the wear parts. We've gone through about 5 of these in less than 2 years of normal, occasional use in our camper van. The plastic male tab that is activated by the push button eventually breaks. If this and the static piece on the mating side were metal or perhaps a far more robust "plastic" I'd give these 4 stars. As is, they work but don't last long. Look to the Southco brand for a more sturdy while more expensive alternative.

Installation went well
I installed this on my RV closet door as a means to keep it from popping open on rough roads. The original catch was magnetic. The installation instructions are good and I had no problem. The instructions say it is for 18-24 mm door thickness. Mine is a little less than 17mm and it worked fine. I have no idea how to rate the sturdiness of it until I use it for a year but it looks nice and operates well.

Fit Roadtrek perfectly!
I've bought several just like this from the Roadtrek dealer for over $50 each. These are perfect replacements for the ones that came in my 2012 Roadtrek Adventurous at 20% of the cost. They are not absolutely identical but almost so, and fit perfectly. You can even interchange the button from the old latch with the plastic latch portion (which is the only part that breaks) of the new latch.. The finish on the button is slightly different from the original, but if that bothers you, just reuse the button from your old latch. I don't know if they're any longer lasting than the original, but its hard to imagine that they are worse- I rarely got as much as a year out of the old ones.
