Great little book
I bought several copies to give as a graduation present to some young people I know. I wish I'd have had this when I went off to college. It simply explains consent, what it means and how it changes in a fun graphic novel format. I told them that even if they don't feel they need it now, they might need it later, or it might help them to talk to their friends about it. I think it's a great gift for young folks headed off to college and away from home for the first time.

Consent is more than just a "Yes" or "No".
Great book for older kids and adults. As a grandmother, this book helped me better understand consent in its present day context.

Definitely worth reading
Thank you netgalley for providing this ARC in exchange for an honest review.Very informative and in a easy entertaining comic format. The author provides examples of what scenerious where there is consent and vice versa. Also discusses scenerios with different sexual partners so there is something there for everyone. Worth the read and should be provided at every bar, club, school and online platforms.

Excellent book that can spark concrete discussions about consent
This book fills a very important gap for adolescents and young adults. Even better-it did it in an inclusive and developmentally appropriate way. You should be aware that the book covers some tough topics. I found myself cringing a bit as I considered talking over the latter portions with my teenage son. I also recognized though that you could take this book in parts. From start to finish it goes from easier to understand to more complex situations that are more likely to be encountered by older adolescents/young adults.Given my interest in reflecting on the way disability is rendered/included in books, I was especially pleased that this book integrated disability in a way that felt natural and positive. The illustrations and plain language used throughout the book made it very accessible to a wider audience. I'm not sure of the reading level but would guess middle school. I highly recommend this book and look forward to buying my own hard copy for our library.

Open and Honest
This graphic novel is an open and honest introduction to the topic of affirmative consent. In particular, this book explores consent for sexual acts. This book is intended for readers age 16 and over. The content is mature, but not explicit. The information contained in this book is necessary for all teens and young adults to understand. This book presents facts in a straightforward manner while including information about many types of relationships, not just heterosexual ones. This is the second book from the "Quick & Easy Guide" series that I have read (I've also read "A Quick and Easy Guide to They/Them Pronouns"). I intend to read all books in this series and put them into the hands of high school students who need this information to make safe choices. That being said, the start of the book is a bit wordy and I wonder if some parts could have been written in more teen-friendly language. Overall, 5 out of 5 stars.

Relevant and resourceful read
I appreciate how this book highlights the importance of consent. 'A Quick & Easy Guide to Consent' serves as a great comprehensive source of information on the topic of consent. This book explores aspects such as setting boundaries, open communication, and situations that differentiate explicit consent and something that isn’t deemed as consent (for example, coercion, guilt/obligation, leveraging power, and so on).The art style endearing and engaging. The narrator is non-binary, enabling this read to be more accessible for readers. Also, I liked how this book included definitions and a checklist which can be used as a guide or self-reflection exercise whilst including LGBQIA+ in the narrative.Overall, this was an extremely great book with helpful information. This is a relevant read and I’d recommend this to both adults and teenagers.Thank you to NetGalley and the publishers for a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
