Banpresto Dragon Ball Z 9.8-Inch The Son Goku Master Stars Piece Figure, New Paint Version

This is a great statue, especially considering the low price. It costs as much or less than the Figuarts Zero statues but it's quite a bit bigger. The sculpt is very accurate to Akira Toriyama's art. The pose is simply but elegant. There's no display base, but it does at least include a stabilizer that clips around his foot.If I had my druthers, I'd prefer to own the original version rather than this repaint. I guess the intention is to depict Goku closer to how he appears in the manga rather than the anime, but the contrast between the light and dark areas of the paint is a little much. However, combined with the pose the paint scheme does sort of create the illusion that Goku is charging up and glowing with energy.If you're a fan of Dragonball and collecting statues, it's hard to go wrong with this piece. It looks good and it's cheap, and that's not usually a combination you find in this hobby.

I'm a big fan of the Master Stars Piece line, and this Goku is fantastic. The modeling proportions are perfect and the paint coloring is really good too. My only complaint is that there is little to no paint behind the ears, and the closed fists could use some more detailing. Those minor defects don't detract from the overall look of the model though, and I'm still happy to give this 5 stars. The model is definitely an authentic Banpresto product and it comes with a clear stand that goes behind the right foot to add support.

I have collected all of the Dragon Ball Z Master Stars Piece Figures. This one was a repainting of the original as they had a contest to decide which artist did the best repainting, and this was the winner. I can honestly say that the original looks a lot better than this one. It is a lot brighter than the original. However, the paint job still looks nice, and I can see why it was painted brighter according to the anime/manga. Shipping was really fast and accurate. It is great for display and a must have for any Dragon Ball fan. Since it is just a repainting of the original, it still stands at approximately 25 cm (~10 in).

This is one phenomenal collectible statue. Does it compare well with $500 statues? Nope. But for the low price of $20 when I bought it, you just can't beat it. First of all it's heavy. Way heavier than I thought it would be. It's a solid item that feels like it'll last for a long while. It's also really tall. 9.5 inches I believe and that's massive especially for the price. The detail of Goku is really captured in every kink of fabric, hair and ridiculous muscle all over. If you like Dragonball Z and want a neat little thing to look at, get this statue right now.

This figurine is AMAZING I didn't expect it to be so good quality, it has some weight to it, so it feels really nice, and the paint job is fabulous, definitely worth it to buy!! Do it! Buy it now!! Lol jk, but seriously this is amazing.

This masters star piece is truly amazing painted, slightly too much white foundation if you ask me but still a great figure to have! Delivery was very good, it was a few days earlier than expected and I really appreciate that. Keep up the good work seller(s)!

This is an awesome figure. Absolutely fantastic quality. Any fan of DBZ would be happy to have this. I will definitely consider buying other Banpresto figures.

Updated Review: 9/26/16Ive bought this item 5x from different sellers all on Amazon, each with its own problem. Ive had one with a missing hand/forearm, another with what appeared to be glue all over it, the next had buubled paint and bad feet, that caused it to fall over. My 4th one finally was perfect, so I decided to by one for my step son who loved the figure. With my most recent order i was saddened to another defect, a damaged miss painted foot that keeps falling off. Banpresto failed with this version, do to the lack of quality control. All my purchases were authentic with gold stickers, so this is inexcusable.

Mit dieser Figur bin ich komplett zufrieden. Die Größe würde ich jetzt eher auf etwas unter 27 cm schätzen (von der Spitze der Haare aus gemessen), aber ich denke den wenigsten wird es auf 1-2 cm hin oder her ankommen. Im Gegensatz zu meiner Vegeta Figur ist die Figur farblich auch etwas heller und im Gesicht gibt es eine relativ helle Stelle. Es wirkt aber nicht schlecht und ich könnte mir auch vorstellen, dass es beabsichtigt ist. Im Bereich der Haare gibt es ein paar nicht ganz so schöne Stellen (siehe Bild), aber es fällt - finde ich - nur auf, wenn man die Figur aus nächster Nähe anschaut.Die Figur besitzt auch eine Halterung am Fuß, um einen festeren Stand zu haben. Ich habe diese Halterung hin gemacht, notwendig wäre sie allerdings nicht, da die Figur recht fest steht (anders als der Vegeta, der bei dem kleinsten Luftzug schon umfällt).Der Versand auf Japan dauerte eine Weile, darauf sollte man sich einstellen. Beim Zoll gab es keine Probleme.

Superbe figurine finitions impeccables. Elle fait une trentaine de cm et elle est fidèle aux images. Elle est en deux partie dans la boîte il faut l’emboiter Au niveau de la ceinture pour assembler la figurine. L’equilibre de la figurine est bon mais vu qu’elle pèse assez lourd il y a un socle transparent qui se clipse au pied pour renforcer le tout. T’es bon produit je recommande si vous êtes fan de dbz
