Terrifying, but effective and affordable
I approached this job with considerable trepidation, however the solid build of this tool was reassuring. Once you take care to make sure everything is lined up, it was great to use. Just take care!

I had my doubts
As a time served mechanic of over 30 years I had doubts about this product. I needn't have worried. It arrived within 18hrs of ordering less than 24hrs after my beloved SL500 R129 Mercedes failed its MoT for a broken road spring, she's fixed. Not a difficult job by any standard but impossible without the right tool and this did the job perfectly. Definitely saved me money in potential specialist costs and much to my surprise, its still completely serviceable should I need it again. Well impressed!

Good for Mercedes R107 380SL
They do the job, I used on Mercedes R107 380SL. The Subframe must be out as the Tool Shaft will not fit through the bottom. Insert bottom tool disc in gap two up and top one in gap 3 down. Ensure you put the Gap side of the tool discs facing inwards. Put Balljoint nuts on loosely, don't tighten them up yet, you need that play to enable you get the tool discs out. The discs can be difficult to get out, spin the bottom one up to a bigger gap. Spin the top one down, use the big end of the tool shaft to engage and spin the top one down. You may have to hammer the tool discs out using s flat implement and hammer. The tool does work, just be patient and careful.
