AquaChek541604A Select Kit Test Strip for Swimming pool

I like strips for their ease of use, and I really like these because they measure CYA/Conditioner. I have been impressed with the accuracy, though they are not as on-point as liquid reagents. In general, though, they are "close enough," and they certainly are fast.I have used the app only a couple times. It works remarkably well, though it takes a while sometimes to get a good photo of the strip and I really haven't yet figured out why it sometimes works and sometimes does not. When. it does work, it's kind of cool. I'll be trying to perfect the technique.I've seen comparisons with much more expensive kits, and while the other kits are more accurate as far as knowing the exact level of various thing measured, these proved to be consistent and as accurate as the range can be. In my use they are very consistent and the items that duplicate my other test kit (total chlorine, free chlorine, PH, etc.) are almost spot on -- again within the relatively wide range each color splotch represents -- with that kit. The chart is easy to read.

These come with a booklet and its a really nice 24 page book which is a complete guide to pool and hot tub chemicals. It explaines in great detail (but easy to understand) the purpose of each chemical and how rhey each work together, why and how to keep them at the proper levels and there are many charts for the calculations so you don’t have to do the math. This is a book that the pool & hot tub sale people should provide when you buy a pool or hot tub but if they did you wouldn’t be so dependant on them for chemical help and sales...thank you AquaChek!

I use the aquachek app, scan the test strip and presto! I get all the results and just need to tweak my chemicals.

Like these test strips and the plastic coasted reference guide for test results. Having said that, I am disappointed that the last bottle of test strips has lost much of its color and is still not at the expiration date. These strips are kept inside my home in a dark cupboard in the original container so no light or moisture exposure. Buying this new bottle to get back to accurate colors to read the strips. May look to other brands if this happens with the new bottle.
