The best glass bottles.
If you want to avoid plastic bottles, there arent many options left. Most of the bottle companies now make plastic bottles with nipples that only fit their bottles. Most of them are now BPA free, but what will be the next "BPA" chemical in plastic. We tried these bottles, the Doc Brown glass bottles, the Pur stainless steel bottles and the organic kidz stainless steel bottles. These evenflo bottles are the best. They come in two convenient sizes, are easy to clean, and not over priced. They come with covers which are nice and our baby actually likes these evenflo nipples the best and we tried a lot of nipples, including these orthodontic and other fancy nipples. The Evenflo slow flo nipples work great for those who are also breastfeeding. Best of all, the Evenflo glass bottles and the nipples are widely available, and can even be found at Walmart.Despite being glass, they are very durable and it would take a fairly substantial blow to crack or break them. They have volume markings on the sides so it is simple to measure out for a 2 oz, 3 oz, 4 oz, etc bottle. I've kept one filled with water for formula in diaper bag with no leaks and no cracks. My wife uses these bottles with her medela pump and they attach easily and work great. The stainless steel bottles dont use a standard sized nipple, and you cant see how much milk is left inside which is a big negative. Also, the Pur bottles dont come with a cover for the nipple which makes no sense for travel. The Doc Brown bottles have too many parts to keep track of and clean, and we didnt notice any difference with regards to gas, fussiness, etc when using that bottle.Evenflo is the way to go!

Fabulous Affordable Glass Bottle
I tried so many bottles with my baby, but finally gave up when I realized she preferred the Medela nipples. THEN I decided that I wanted to change to glass bottles, and the only options out there were Doc Browns, BornFree, and a few other pricey brands I'd never heard of. I considered paying $10/bottle for the others, but these were $2 each. I knew the Evenflo fit my Medela PISA and nipples, so I went with them because it wasn't a huge financial risk. They are FAB!Pro:They aren't just a good value, they are flat out inexpensive! It's glass, so quality isn't really an issue. I would say they are like a beer bottle thickness, not a water glass. Pretty sturdy. They clean so much more easily than plastic bottles!I can scrub, scratch, and otherwise torture these bottles and the volumes will never come off as they are part of the glass bottle itself, not inked on.They fit Medela pump valves!Con:When there is condensation on them (I pump into them and put it straight in the fridge) it can obscure the volume markings. The 4oz size is a little small, but 8oz is a little big. It's glass, so if you drop it on a tile floor from a height, it will break. Just use common sense and don't leave a 9 month old alone with them in her highchair!

Great value and practical
We use the 4 and 8 ounce bottles for our 6 month old, including the rings, nipples, and caps they came with (the 4 oz also came with mini caps to fit in the rings when you're not using a nipple- perfect for just pumping/storing). The bottles fit on the Medela pump so I pump straight into them and then the baby can eat right from them. The 8 oz are a bit heavy and awkward dangling off the pumping bra, but the 4 oz is not bad at all (and can actually hold about 5 oz to the tippy top). We have a ton so we never have to wash by hand - always in the dishwasher. Our only other bottles are the plastic Medela, and I'm afraid of chemicals leaching so I don't put them in the dishwasher, but after washing and drying thoroughly by hand the plastic ones still smell faintly like milk, and they have become slightly clouded, which will never happen with the glass. The measurements are written in raised glass, so they will never wear off. They are a bit hard to see, but still legible. These bottles are extremely sturdy. We have never had one crack or break and I lug them around daily to work.I don't see a reason to pay more for another brand of glass bottle - these work great.

Great safe and strong baby bottles
We have nine of these bottles, been using them since our son was born (he's almost four months old now) and the bottles still look new even better (shinier). We traveled overseas with it, used it on long airplanes rides, dropped it on an asphalt sidewalk and it didn't break-this was impressive. It's so easy to wash and keep clean. When they were new they leaked a little bit when we shake to mix the formula but now they very rarely leak when we shake the liquid inside. It doesn't leak at all when you feed the bottle to baby though. I love glass bottles because I know for sure it's clean and I don't have to worry about deterioration or discoloration. It's a simple but functional product and you definitely can't complain about the price compare to other bottles out there. The bottles work great with all brands of regular nipples we've purchased (mainly to experiment but I went back and use the ones that came with the bottles anyway). I used it with Medela Swing pump and it fit perfectly. I sterilize them regularly using the microwave sterilizer since we don't have a dishwasher. I'm not planning on using other brand since our experience has been great so we'll just upgrade to bigger size when our son is older.

Great Bottles - Missing Parts
I just received these 4oz.bottles in the mail. I love the glass bottles themselves and they fit my Medela Freestyle pump. However, each of the bottles were missing the little plug that sits inside of the ring and so I can't store breastmilk in them. I'll be returning these and purchasing through a local retailer instead.
