Good for beginners
Happy with the instructions. The book has multiple levels of difficulty, and it’s great for kids. For adults, I’d say the lowest levels of difficulty are probably too easy, so I immediately jumped to the intermediate level.

Beautiful paper, range of difficulties
Paper: 5 stars, the designs and colors are beautiful and the paper weight is just right for folding without ripping to easily. Having the papers attached in the book is great since we have young kids whom we are doing origami with and there is only one object (the book) to pick up if the book/paper fall on the floor. I would like to know where I can get more paper like this without having to buy a second copy of the book.Instruction book: 3 stars. This was helpful to us starting out. The 20 projects are rated 1 to 3 in level of difficulty. The 1 star are simple and can generally be deduced from the pictures. I have been able to do some of the 3 stars but took several attempts for some. The lotus is the most beautiful and the lily is nice too. The animals take some imagination to see it as the animal described but many of them are quite easy so fun for kids. Some of them require two pieces of paper and tape to attach them. The butterfly is the most aesthetic of the animals. There is a simple and more complex boat.We actually found after doing some of the exercises in the book that it was actually more fun to use the paper to make origami with people on YouTube. There are lots of different step-by-step origami tutorials out and you can search for your interests. Thus we've been able to use the beautiful paper to make boxes and a remarkably detailed parrot from Hello Origami (tutorials are well done and remarkably well paced). Watching the video makes some of the steps in the book easier to understand. There are twenty projects in the book and 184 pages. Thus you either need to do each project on average 6 times to use the paper or you need to find other projects.

simple projects, large paper, good for kids
this book was OK. the paper was pretty but wasn't cut exactly like a square so things came out just a tad wonky (not a big deal unless you're looking for perfection). I liked the projects but most were very simple. I think this is great for kids--paper size is big, pictures are big & most projects are easy. they might need help w the more difficult ones like the Lotus Flower. all in all not a bad purchase.
