Lactose Intolerant Husband Reunited with Beloved Dairy Products!
My husband is LI and has gone without cheese and many of his favorite dairy products because we thought LI meant DAIRY FREE! I have a happy husband because of this book! The information in it revealed IS EYE OPENING and makes the difference between LI and Dairy FREE clear and precise. Because of learning about the sugars ie; lactose in the dairy products, my husband is enjoying 95% of his favorite dairy items which we both thought were long gone for him. LOVE THIS BOOK! Helpful, easy reciepes
This book is great for those that arent skilled in the art of cooking fancy dishes. They are nice homecooked meals that can be done without all the dairy. It has sections for a little bit of everything. Easy to read as well.

Has great recipes and given explanation about lactose intolerance. So not only is it got great food but is very educational

Not for the dairy/peanut allergic
The family member who I purchased this for has extreme dairy/peanut allergies. I was extremely surprised to find nearly every recipe has eggs as an ingredient and many use nuts. I cannot use most of the recipes. It would have been nice if in the description it indicates lactose-free does not mean allergy free - as it states in the book.

thanks a million for this very useful cookbook.it was easy to read and very helpful.the first section on dos and don'ts for the lactose intolerant was simply wonderful.

Tons of recipe idea not available online!
Good cook book. A lot of the recipes in this book are not online. Great gift for the "upset stomach" family member. Packaging was good, delivery was prompt.

Don't bother, search the Internet instead
It seems that a simple Internet search and some experimental cooking is more knowledgeable about lactose free cooking than the author of this book. Many who are Lactose Intolerant cannot rely on added cultures and enzymes to digest lactose for them. Also, it mentions nothing about substituting goat or sheep milk and cheese. Do yourself a favor and search for those instead of buying this book. I am returning it because it will be of no use to me.
