Nice Looking Charger Unit
This charger works great! It's very easy to connect without needing a degree in electrical engineering. It's a simple two-prong connection with a + and -. It illuminates nicely when it is properly connected to a power source, and does a fine job at charging my devices. It charges at a slower rate than your standard electrical outlet in your home, but that is to be expected from any in-car charger.Be aware that if you connect this directly into a "Hot Feed," (IE: Your car's battery or any circuit that receives power when the car is turned off), the back light will constantly remain illuminated. The upside of doing this is that you will be able to charge your devices without having to turn on your vehicle. The downside of doing this is that the back light will be constantly draining your battery, albeit at a very slow rate. It will also contribute to reducing the back light bulb's lifespan. I suggest finding a fuse in your car's fuse box that is only powered when the key is turned to the "ACC" position and using a Fuse Tap,( Pico 0956PT 10 Amp ATM Mini Blade Fuse Add-A-Circuit Fuse Holder ), from which to draw power to this charger. It sounds more difficult than it really is to accomplish. Just make sure that if you do this, that the size of the fuse tap is the same as the fuse you plan to use in your car's fuse box.

Great Charger for the Money
Bought this USB charger on April 2016 and just got around to installing it inside the center console of a 2001 Jeep Cherokee. The inner shell of the center console is held by six screws, including two screws holding the arm rest, so I removed the shell, made the cutout with an utility knife, inserted the switch and use RTV on the back side to ensure the charger will stay in place. I soldered the wires to the charger to ensure a positive contact. I ran the wires under the center console and behind the DVD system, which I had installed back in 2016, and hooked up the charger's power wire to the radio's accessory wire and negative wire to the radio's ground wire. Before I put everything back, I tested both the radio and USB charger, first by turning the key to the ACC position and once everything appeared to work, by turning the motor over...all worked fine. I then connected my cell to the charger and it went from 27% to 30% in no time at all. I put everything back and all is well. The charger looks almost like it came that way from the Jeep factory. It's convenient as I no longer have to have a charger connected to the cigarette lighter plug. The only drawback is that the center console does not have the groove designed to route the USB cable out between armrest and console, but the armrest is padded so I don't believe it will create any negative stress on the cable. Anyways, the switch works as advertised, is affordable and looks great.

Simple to install and works great!!!
Installed two of these. One in front dash and one in back of center console for rear passengers. Was very easy to install, works great and everyone is happy to have enough charging ports. Side note, if connected to constant power the backlight is always on, however the backlight is led and draws minimal amps and would take a month to drain a battery. Great product and highly recommend.

Great Product. Not a Switch Itself.
This was an excellent addition to my old boat restoration project. It seems to be of excellent quality and looks great. Only reason for less than 5 stars is because it is not actually a switch in itself. It cannot be switched on and off like a toggle. It must be hooked to a switchable power source if you want to be able to turn the constant led light/power off ever. It is not like a toggle which you can change the wiring (on the back) for preferred usage of the led. This was not a problem for me as I wired it through another toggle switch that controls Other accessories on my boat. With that small issue solved, it looks great, works great, and seems to be of great quality so far. Great product at a great price!

Works as it should, looks great
**Update ** - changing to 5 stars - I did have to open up the cutout for the switch just a little, but it was very minor - i literally scraped about 1/64" out with a steel ruler to make it fit. So it was very close and easy to fix. My panel looks good now (photo attached).I struggled with how many stars to give this product. The main reason I'm not happy is that it doesn't fit the standard Carling switch brackets, which I thought it would. It's close - it slides in the hole fine, but it is just a little too large to snap it. I can modify the hole slightly, but am disappointed I have to, as it was one of the reasons I bought this specific item. No stars deducted for this, but it would be really nice if the back light circuit was separate from the power to the port so I could turn on the illumination with the headlights rather than all the time. But overall, it looks really nice (I removed the dust cover) and works great.

Ok+
I installed this usb charger in my 2005 Nissan Patfinder, the opening in the middle console I had to make it bigger, but fits perfectly. The charger even it says is almost 3A charges my phone kind of slow, but the + is it doesn't interfere with radio, meaning some chargers act like a jammers to your car radios, after u plug in and start charging phone your FM AM radio goes hisssss... This one doesn't do it.
