Useful clip for reading 16 pin BIOS chips
I used this to read the BIOS chip on a Dell PowerEdge server. Unlike other clips I have used the plastic surround of the clip is very thin which makes it easier to fit into a tight space. These clips are not that easy to attach and bounce off when you don't make a positive connection. There is a particular technique to getting them on. You have to open the jaws wide and cover the bottom of the legs. Once it is properly connected the connection is solid. If like me you are using a cheap USB CH341a programmer then I would also suggest that you buy a USB extension cable to make the process easier. For an inexpensive clip, this worked very well and allowed me to add NVMe support to an old server.

Useless!
I've honestly yet to find a working SOIC Test Clip!! This one suffers from the same problems, rarely actually makes contact and 99.99% of the time it just pings off the chip! Very frustrating. I'm trying to use these ICSP on BIOS chips but it just refuses to clip on and stay on!
