Nice size
I bought this to catch a few stray cats so I could take them to be spayed/neutered and it worked great for me. I was able to put them through the doorway with ease (couldn’t get them into a regular sized cat carrier). They kept spreading their legs out so, I needed a bigger doorway to avoid stressing them out (more than it was already did) and to avoid accidentally hurting them. It also worked out, because I had to keep them in there a couple days to recover and be safe. It gave them enough room to be comfortable. It’s very big and awkward to carry, but it helped me help the kitties. It’s nice and sturdy and very easy to assemble. I had to take it apart to clean it, but that’s easy enough. It feel like it’s reasonably priced and I would purchase it again if I ever needed to.

Nice kennel
We have a larger Kennel for our aging Shiba Inu, but needed one that was a bit smaller for a long trip in the car. This one probably won't get much use now that the trip is over, but it was easy to put together and kept him safe on the trip, giving him enough room to stretch out, but not so much that he could be walking around in it while the car was in motion. It appears to be made well. If the sizing fits your pet, we'd recommend based on build quality.

Sturdy
Very sturdy have a 60 lbs bully that escaped the metal crate constantly. This has held up so well and I’ve had 0 “prison” breaks

It's fine once you figure out the screws...
The long screws threw me off at first until I realized that you only put them in the smaller holes, not the four big ones. I have no clue what those larger holes are for unless they are for tie-down/securing in transit or something. The carrier works, but the quality is not the highest. And this thing is huge and rather heavy, much more than my nine-pound cat needs... That was my mistake, though.

Medium size pet carrier
Medium sized pet carrier. We have a smaller dog, and she outgrew her carrier. This one is large enough for her to move around easily and not be cramped. Good quality, well made.

Poor quality - not like the Petmate of old.
I was excited to order this crate for our new dog -- it's an upgraded model of the one we had previously. When we got this, we quickly noticed that the plastic did not match up on the sides between top and bottom. The bottom had about a 1/8" gap that made it larger than the top. We subsequently followed all assembly instructions as written (including only tightening by hand and not using tools) and could not get the bolts and wing nuts secure in a couple of instances. Either the bolt is too long, too wide, or the wing nut was not deep enough, because the bolt wiggles in the spot. This crate is supposed to be made for sturdy airline transport and there is no way this thing would make it through. It's absolute junk and not at all like the Petmate crate I'm used to.

Easy to put together, solid kennel.
My mom has been using Petmate (the Sky Kennel) since the 80s when she shipped her puppies across the country. So I thought of Petmate when I wanted to buy a travel crate/safe sleep spot for a fast growing husky mix puppy. We were able to use it for 4 months, and technically she can still get in it. We have a bigger petmate now for her though. It arrived quickly, no breakage, very easy to put together, solid rigid sides, and I like that it has the 'squeeze' door locking mechanism so smart doggies can't undo it. I mean there is probably that one crazy genius dog who can undo it, but for the rest of the mere mortal dogs, they're not going to be able to undo or get their teeth/tongue/paws on it. If they made one as huge as her bed kennel now--it's like 48"x36"x36" or something crazy like that,(she loves it, don't worry), I'd buy it, but I don't think they do. Anyway, I think for the medium dog up to 45lbs for travel, this is a great choice, quality crate. My 6 month husky mix @ 55lbs DOES NOT fit it in anymore (in the photo), if you need dog size comparison. In the photo you can see the crate next to an SUV tire, for another size comparison.
