Rumours - Exclusive Limited Edition Clear Colored Vinyl LP

Classic band. Still their best album. I bought the CD however, do have a copy of their original album. Other than that there is not much you can say about Fleetwood Mac except, that I miss Christine and her fantastic songwriting and her incredible voice. Fleetwood Mac started out as a blues band in the late 60s and wound up the way that they sound today. It’s almost like hearing two Separate bands. Christine was one of the original members when there were very few women in music. Most people talk about the other woman in that band However, Christine wrote what I think were some of their best songs. Fleetwood Mac is a band that morphed from Blues To what I would call Pop music. Incredible band and a classic album. If you don’t have it in your collection buy it!

Fleetwood a Mac was the house that Mick built (with John) but it was redesigned by Lindsey Buckingham. His arranging and producing skills helped propel along with Christine McVie’s and Steve Nicks and his songwriting skill made the Mac rumble.Arguably, “Rumours” could be called their best album but either way one would vote on that idea, it is their bestselling album. It’s been repackaged, re-released so many times that it Warner squeezed just about everything out of the album. This 4 CD (it doesn’t include the high def stereo version of the album) gathers ALL of the outtakes/alternate versions/demos that were in the big boxed set.It’s a healthy package and, while it doesn’t change the accomplishment of the album nor it’s status, it does provide us with an inside look into the creation of their most popular album.The cardboard packaging has each CD slide into a section and a booklet is included. It’s a fine set and essential for Mac fans (for full disclosure “Tusk” is my favorite album by the band along with their White Album). Now, if you want the alternate mix version of the album, it is available separately from this in a boxed set of alternate versions of all the deluxe albums.Lindsey would continue to help guide the Mac to further great albums but this was when they truly exploded on the scene as a recording act

Christmas present for my daughter. She loved it.

This is a great CD set with the live tracks and out takes. The out takes increased my appreciation for Fleetwood Mac and provided a real look into recording songs as a band.

Love that my granddaughter asked for this album. I owned that album many moons ago.

Awesome group from my past....

My college roommate and I happened to be in the very closed Zellerbach Auditorium in Berkeley on that (very late) night that Christine McVie came in to record “Songbird” as a solo track on the piano. There were less than 10 people in the entire hall (engineer Ken Calliet and Lindsay Buckingham were there). That version is the one on the Rumours album which went on to sell 40 million units worldwide. Needless to say, an amazing experience.
