Home Master All-Purpose Descaler – 100% Limescale Removal for Kettles, Coffee Machines, Irons & Shower Heads (18 sachets x 25ml)

Great stuff! Arrived quickly and tried it straight away. Easy to use: I boiled some water (to cover the black stains on the inside of our white, plastic kettle), then unplugged it, snipped a corner off a sachet and tipped in the contents (I wore rubber gloves, in case of splashes). It immediately started fizzing, so I left it to do its job. After 10 mins, I tipped most of it into our coffee machine, to run it through that (it shifted a good amount of gunk out of it), then after 10 mins tipped it into a bowl and put our shower head in (came up a lot cleaner).Because the kettle had been very badly stained with our hard water, it actually took another go, but even after the first treatment it had made a HUGE difference - the heating element was sparkling and most of the stains had gone or faded. Another dose just cleaned the rest up. All items were rinsed thoroughly after treatment.Will use this product every couple of months, to keep things clean. This particular product seemed very good value at a little over 50p per treatment, and if I can use one sachet to do everything, it should be about 3 years before I need to buy more!

It's just lactic acid, works immediately and doesn't leave an unpleasant smell like vinegar would. If you've ever fermented veggies, you'll be familiar with this smell in particular. Follow instructions and don't touch it, it can still burn your skin because even if it's in food, it's never as concentrated as in this product. Very happy with it.

Buying this many sachets as a tub of 18 works out cheaper. Works well in my coffee machine and kettle. When it comes to irons, not just with this descaling product, but with others previously too I’ve arrived at there’s little point in descaling. I.e. they kind of work, but it takes ages to properly clean irons out and even when you think you finally have, after several new uses your garments suddenly get pumped with stains from residue still inside. So from now on I’m not going to use these on my iron, just recycle it next time it needs cleaning and buy a new one!

I bought this as the leading brand I normally purchase is getting hard to find and expensive. What a lucky find these sachets were. So much better than the brand I have been buying for years. I live in a very hard water area, and my kettle needs descaling constantly. This was the best result I’ve ever had, can’t wait to try on my shower head. Would 100% recommend and will purchase again.

WE LIVE IN NORWICH WHICH MEANS WE HAVE A LOT OF TROUBLE WITH HEAVY LIMESCALE, VERY FURRY KETTLES ETC.THIS PRODUCT DOES THE JOB BUT TAKES LONGER THAN ADVISED IN THE INSTRUCTIONS, HOWEVER THIS IS USUAL FOR OUR AREA. I NORMALLY LEAVE FOR 10 MINS, THEN REBOIL KETTLE WITH PRODUCT IN AND LEAVE AGAIN WHICH SEEMS TO WORK. VERY EASY TO USE AND DOESN'T LEAVE ANY SMELL.

Paid nearly £4.00 for 1 sachet of descale at the supermarket.....then saw this offer on Amazon a bit weary about how good it would be because of the price but there was no need to worry....worked well on my iron & kettle (the supermarket one did not) still to use it on shower head but no reason to think otherwise due to other results.So handy in the little sachets already made up & the box they are in is handy for keeping them on a shelf out of the way. All in all I would say a great buy & Great value for money.
