Easy Install With Only Two Wires to Reconnect
If you had installed the entire Rule livewell assembly with this motor cartridge than it is simple to replace this motor cartridge. My previous Rule motor worked for several years. Then on one outing the livewell pump stopped sucking up water but the empeller still spun. I bought this replacement motor and simply replaced the old one and presto it was working on my next outing.I don't know what went wrong on the old motor cartridge if it was the rubber gasket on the motor cartridge or empeller that was worn down. The old non functioning motor empeller still spun but was a little loud making a buzzing sound. The new replacement is almost silent. In fact you need to actually put your hand on it to confirm it is running.

Easy replacement
These are good pumps minus the limited lifespan. The shaft for the propeller that moves the water into the livewell seems to rust within 9-18 months. It would be nice if they provided a quick change connector rather than having to splice and connect wires to replace it. Especially since you are typically working in limited space within the bilge area below deck or in a small hatch to access. This would make the replacement even easier and faster especially if you carry an extra one onboard. This one works better / lasts longer than the Johnson one I originally had installed.

Terrible pump
Installed to replace the previous Rule pump that worked flawlessly for years. This one lasted one month before failing. I have heard that Rule pumps had declined in quality, but this one was terrible. Looking at other brands

perfect replacement
The aerator in our boat went down. This is just the motor of the aerator so the base of the aerator stays in the boat just pop the old motor off and cut the wires and then put this one in and wire it up and its ready to go.

works as advertised
This is the exact same type motor cartridge that was previously installed. Hopefully this one lasts longer than the initially installed one. Worked so good I ordered a second one.
