High Voltage Transformer 3.7V-4.2V to 15KV Boost Step-up Power Module Generator

High voltage ac transformers are very hard to find. I drove this using a 20v square wave from an h-bridge driver and it did just fine lighting a 5' neon tube. It worked well from 20KHz to about 40KHz with no resonance. Perfect for small plasma displays and neon drivers. Wish there were bigger versions available, but for what it is, it definitely a real find.

Works good, just wished that they would've labeled or given a diagram of the primary winding, which wire is which. Pretty important to know. I ended up justing pulling out the primary and rewinding myself just so I'd know (if you don't know how to wind a primary for a flyback transformer just look on youtube, it's simple enough, ~20 turns each wire). If I had a multimeter at the time I could've just checked for continuity. Keep it in mind, and don't freak out, it is cheap enough to be worth it.

Unfortunately, I had been busy and didn't get around to messing with until it was too late to return it. I researched everything I could think of to get it working, but I'd guess it's fragile appearance is more than appearance. My fault for waiting so long to check it out.

Poorly made. Not a solid build. When being use it shakes and after a few days fall apart.

I think it was DOA, but it's definitely D now.
