Q: will the dog be sad if it takes him to long to finish?

Haha—maybe. Try filling without the puzzles inside first until they get the hang of moving the ball around with their nose and paws. Once they’ve got that mastered, add just the center piece. Move on to outer puzzle pieces one at a time if your dog is a super smarty pants pup!

Q: How much food will the 5 in ball hold?

It depends on how you have the ball set up. There are three removable obstacles that you keep in the center of the ball to make the "puzzle" easier or more difficult. We only have 2/3 obstacles in place for our 4 inch ball, and it holds about 1/4 cups of kibble.

Q: What material is this made of?

Hard clear plastic ball. When I got it I didn't think it would last.After 3 mo. It's still rolling and the puppy Sheltie I have loves to knock it around. One of his favorite toys.

Q: Can you use this with a 100 lb dog?

With your dog's strong chewing jaws, I would say no. This is NOT a ball for chewing. Your dog can only roll it around. Chewing would destroy the plastic.
