My husband has Parkinsons. His voice is too soft for me to hear if not beside him. He stays up later than I do. I needed a way for him to let me know if he needed me or if he fell when I was asleep. I looked into many systems but none seemed right at the time. This little alarm is freaking loud, I hear it anywhere in the house. The button is easy to push even on a bad day for him. We have 2, one in hs pocket and one in the bathroom. I think it would be great for a person alone at night to scare off anyone or animal. The flashing light is a bonus. At the low price of $10 ish it's a bargain and well worth the price.

I am prone to falls yet I can usually get up. Only once have I needed help. I didn’t have any way to call out for help so I laid there quite a while. With something Ike this I could have gotten the help I needed. I don’t need an expensive home monitor but this alarm would have been nice.I only gave 4 stars because I wish it would come in more muted colors so that my husband would carry one.

Love these so much! I bought one for all of my family members. With the quarantine going on and all the chaos in the world nowadays, I just wanted that extra safety for them. We all started walking around the neighborhood a lot but some of us go in the morning, some at night, some alone. It’s super easy to use and convenient being on the keychain. What I really love about this product compared to others is that it’s chargeable. Others need battery replacements and being it’s for security it’s hard to rely on those. The sound is piercing and the lights flash off at the same time as well. Even if you aren’t in an emergency, the flashlight is also a big plus just to use everyday. Worth the price and an affordable investment.

There are quite a few personal alarms on Amazon, each with glowing reviews that all kind of sound the same (suspicious) and none older then September 2019.I chose this one for three reasons: The alarm can be activated by either pulling a pin or pressing a button, the battery can be recharged via a USB cable and it comes with a flashlight. This one is more expensive than others but decided to give it a try and am glad I did. The alarm is LOUD, I annoyed everyone far and wide because I pushed the alarm button twice before reading the instructions (hint: you need to hold the button for a while to shut it off).The thing is small and smooth enough to fit nicely into the palm of a hand, it can also be attached to items such as a leash or a handbag. The alarm will not go off accidentally as the pin requires a good yank and the button needs to be pushed twice to activate the alarm (not to be misunderstood: to activate you need either yank the pin or push the button twice, you do NOT need to yank the pin AND push the button).The pin does not detach from the device so can't get lost and you can not yank the pin and push it back in to shut the alarm off when the alarm was activated by double-clicking the button, which I think is a nice additional safety feature (you know how to de-activate the alarm but the person attacking you will not). The flashlight is handy for finding key holes and can be set to flashing mode.It's a nice, sturdy little thing that I hope I will never have to actually use, but it sure provides peace of mind.

Good alarm, but the way it's advertised (showing a pic of 3 different colored alarms, when there is no color option) is a little deceiving. They do sell a "3 pack" of these alarms and i thought that's what I had purchased. Alarm is functional. There are many equivilant versions being sold by various vendors, some for considerably less cost.

Ho. Ly. CRAP. This thing is loud. I mean, LOUD. This will definitely come in handy in any case of emergency where you want or need attention. It's small, easy to use, and does what it says. The light is pretty decent. It lights up what is around you such as the average-sized bedroom, enough to know what you're doing and where you are but I wouldn't replace a flashlight with it as it's more of an ambient light than for distances. I ordered two and they both work. One did not at first but it did after a charge. So, be sure to charge first before using (it says that in the instructions.) I'm very pleased all-around!

I hope none of you ever need to use this but you're looking at this type of product for a reason. I hope you're safe and taking care of yourself. If you ever need to defend yourself against someone I hope you give them hell and use this tool to alert others to come to your aid. I feel much safer running on trails now that I have a loud and compact tool to aid in my self defense. This fit perfectly in my hand while I run. I purchased this with the intent of having an audio aid in self defense from another person but an added feature which I hadn't considered was the aid this can provide against animals as well. A loud noise like this could deter an animal from attacking or from hanging around but would also alerts others out of eyesight to be aware of their surroundings. You can activate the alarm by double clicking the button or pulling the keychain connection out of the device. The alarm will continue to sound for over 50 minutes if not turned off. If someone intends to do you harm they are going to be prepared. You need to also be prepared and get comfortable with this tool. I tested mine in my parked car so I knew what to expect if I ever needed to set this off. This tool is intended to distract and stun an attacker not stun or distract you. Take the time to look though the small instruction packet. And please charge the device before you need it. Stay self.
