We don’t like those overly-long bamboo skewers, because meat is too heavy for them . These are very sturdy and the perfect size for single servings of kebabs or anything else you want to make. Highly recommend!

These skewers are the perfect size for us when we make kebabs at home. We like to make our own kebabs with either chicken or lamb cubes and vegetables. We alternate meat with vegetables (peppers, onion slices, mushrooms, cherry tomatoes) and the length is just right for 3-4 chucks of meat. I really like using bamboo rather than metal - it just looks more "user friendly". I know there are many lengths of bamboo skewers available but this is the one we like and re-order every few months. The flat part on one end also makes them easier to handle. Highly recommend!

I normally just pick up a pack of skewers at our local grocery store, but since summer is winding down, it's been hard to locate a pack of them at our local grocery store, so I did what any Amazon Prime member does.....I went to Amazon to look. I came across these paddle skewers and thought they looked really cool. What really drew me to them was the thick end. No one like to get their fingers burnt trying to turn those thin skewers on the grill, so I thought I would order these and give them a try. Shipping was quick...2 days, and much to my surprise, they were really thick when I opened them. I guess I didn't read the description very well and just assumed they would be the long, pointy, toothpick like skewers that I normally use. For the record, they are not. These are pretty thick, which will probably work well for meats, cheeses, and fruits, but I purchased them to mainly use to grill vegetable kababos. I'm sure they will work just fine. ( I haven't officially tried them yet) I like the fact that they are thick and durable and they will most likely keep the vegetables from spinning around. If you are looking for a thicker, more durable skewer with a thick handle, these would be the skewers to get.

Great product! The shape prevented the meats from spinning on the stick and they were great for the rehearsal dinner we hosted. We did soak them overnight so they did not burn. I 100% recommend.

These are great for apps, drinks or any small thing you might want to grill - soak picks first for grilling. They are sturdy enough to wash if you really wanted to - but they are biodegradable too. I would buy these again without hesitation. Having said all of this, I never hesitate to update my reviews should new info seem useful. Although the skewers appear to be good quality & I like the end of the skewer for easy handling, the actual skewer part is not flat.

We used these for a wedding catering gig, for chicken satay. These are very sturdy and have a nice elevated feel compared to standard bamboo skewers. I would definitely purchase again. Attaching a pic next to a #2 standard pencil to give an idea of size.
