PelicanAir Travel Cases (Carry-on & Large Hard Case Luggage)

After looking at a lot of rolling suit cases, including some upwards of $1500, this was the only one I knew would stand up to the abuse airlines will put luggage through. I’ve seen Pelicans get run over by trucks and not miss a beat. One trip down with this case reaffirmed it. The quality is typical Pelican - nothing but rugged and utilitarian. It’s got locks built into the latches, several interior folder pockets on the inside of the lid, I can’t imagine the wheels ever breaking but if they do, they come off as a unit for easy replacement, the long drag handle stows tight and secure, the lid has steel reinforced grommets for a more serious lock should you require it - all for a fraction of luxury suitcases that would surely fail well before this one ever will.The only downside is the weight - it’s pretty hefty so you hit 40lbs pretty quick filling it up.

I travel a lot for work and was sick and tired of having to purchase new luggage every year because of damage by airlines and baggage handlers. This suitcase takes a beating and keeps going strong. It is expensive, but in the long run you’ll save money not having to replace.

Bought this for my finance she travels a lot, and carries all her tool here. She loves it.

Superb case! Heavy duty, sturdy, but light!

I love the fact that this is a rough and tumble case. I've used it only once so far but I travel for a living and I will be on the road over 250 days a year.There are a couple of things I would change if I could.1) If this could be a spinner case that would help tremendously! It's only a pull case.2) I understand that its built to be tough, that's why I bought it. But it is a heavy case. In the neighborhood of 16+ pounds. So you need to be creative in your packaging. To keep weight down.Would I suggest this suitcase, yup sure would. Just be mindful of what it is and you will be good to go.
