McDavid Back Support

Well made but the regular is at its limit for a 38" waist, time will tell on the velcro. I like the wide tension wraps which is why I paid more for this one. The ones with narrow straps don't work as well causing the first layer to deform beyond the straps. If that does't matter to you the one I have at half the price is from Comfoband and it's true to size with good support but smaller tension wraps and will probably stretch out beyond the tension straps.

The material is not stronger than last generation they used. After two months, it started to deform. But it is still proving strong support for your waist

I have bought three other back support braces for use at work and on my motorcycle. This is a really good light duty support brace. It has mesh in the sides which help to keep you cool. The velcro lasts a long time. The velcro on the staps do not overhang the edges and hook onto your clothing. This was a fatal flaw on a very popular name brand back support that saw the garbage can way before it wore out. The adjustment straps work easily and well for a wide range of fit options. You can make it snug or loose quickly.It is thin, not bulky, and works well under my custom motorcycling pants. Again, being partly mesh is a big plus. It works great for keeping my back straight while riding. Less fatigue and reduced back strain.Not the cheapest light duty support but worth the price.

I bought this back-brace after I had back surgery for a disc herniation, and I have been able to use it and have more confidence while working out. It lends excellent support, and provides the necessary proprioception to help your balance and reaction time. Especially with those heavy lifts where you need some support for your core, this brace gives great tightness without too much constraint. The double velcro with the cross linking (?) is a great way to give that extra support. I think I've used the word "support" too often, but it really is a great brace. Excellent value!

This back support was for my husband and I know from experience that it works wonders for any outside or inside work that involves lifting and bending. My husband’s back was bothering him when he shoveled snow but after receiving this back support my husband could get the whole job done with no back pain. I use mine for when I am gardening. They are a wonderful aid for work you want to do.

After buying a McDavid level 3 ankle brace and loving it, I bought this support as a gift for my dad with back pain that ended up working very well for him. It provides excellent support without becoming uncomfortable to wear over long periods of time. There's good ventilation so the contact area between the brace and your shirt doesn't become too sweaty or uncomfortable. It's also slim enough to fit under a shirt without being noticable, which is a plus.

This product had good support, however, the material does not breathe. I wore it for 6 miles to work - 15-20 minutes, and had to take it off because my shirt was soaked in the back
