Q: Does it come with a hose or just the sprayer?

Hello this comes with just the sprayer. A hose is not included.

Q: Is it metal or plastic? Reviews seem to contradict the description.

I've just checked it. It is plastic inside with a chrome like coating on the outside. Hence it is light to handle and easy to operate.

Q: Why does the shower go off when I stop the water flow on this head?

I'm not sure what type of connection you have. But a water feed to this head will work just fine. If you are plumbing this into a bath mixer tap. Then due to water pressure changes. The button to control the water from taps to shower head may unlock itself. This is normal behaviour of a shower mixer tap. It's designed like that. It's nothing to do with the Zotti. Putting your water pressure up may help.
