Firechief BFS1 Fire Sand

I bought this because i charge a lot of lithium batteries for model planes,I keep a biscuit tin half full of the sand, and a tea caddy with the rest of the sand.If i ever get a lithium battery fire, i will dump the battery in the biscuit tin and pour the sand from the tea caddy over it, then if it's safe to do so, move the tin to the middle of the garden.As lithium batteries can not be extinguished, they have to be left to burn themselves out.

Fire sand is fire sand to protect from fires as such to differentiate from child play sand or any other type of sand I strongly feel that this fire sand should be clearly marked as fire sand ie written in large letters in a much better thicker plastic bag but nevertheless I decided to place the sand into other thicker plastic bags and a bucket so the sand is both readily available in emergency and packed around the store cupboard as required

Could not be happier. Perfect for what I needed it for to use in the bbq fat catching tray.

Bought for firepit. Came in a plastic bag which I put into a larger bag in case it burst. The sand has worked well in my firepit. Fit for my purpose.

Used as a base for casting metal. Worked a treat!

1 star because some sand did arrive but the the bag had a hole so, useless
