I am spill prone, and I've spilled drinks onto my laptops too many times to count. Thankfully, my last laptop gave up after quite a few spills. When I got my new laptop, I knew I wanted to keep it safe and clean. This keyboard cover doesn't just sit on top of your keyboard; it basically seals itself onto your laptop. It fits great over all the keys, is super easy to clean, has kept my keyboard dry from the few spills it's endured. I've had this product for over a year, and I still love it. I'm on my laptop a lot, so a few on the letters have faded just from use, but it's overall held up great. I really appreciate that the cover actually has those little raised bits on the F, J, and 5 like a keyboard has. The color is accurate to the photos and beautiful, and the print on the keys are very easy to see.I think the only negative is that the fingerprint reader is covered, but you could easily cut that part out if you really wanted to. Overall, a great product for anyone with this laptop; whether you're spill prone or just want to keep crumbs/dust out of your keyboard.

This is an excellent solution to an unfortunate design flub in the Dell Inspiron. I love my laptop except for the regrettable keyboard design. The keyboard is backlit with a very dim pale blue that glows through the letters while typing, making it impossible to actually see what key is what. If you are a mediocre typist like I am, this skin solves the problem. It fits perfectly and is so thin it doesn't interfere with closing the laptop at all. I suppose it will fall off in tablet mode but I don't mind.I'm very happy with this purchase.

Why I Purchased:I purchased this to add some contrast to the buttons on my new Dell Inspiron. The device came with silver buttons that are backlit in a pale blue. During the day it is difficult to make out the labels on the keys. I found this annoying, but worth returning the system!RECOMMENDATIONS FOR IMPROVEMENTThis purchased cover was the (nearly) perfect solution, but if I could design the perfect cover for this system it would have the 3 following adjustments:1. The power button in the top right should be removed as many systems now use this for fingerprint identification. I manually cut this square out myself for access (see pic).2. The caps lock key cover would be designed in a way that allows the user to see the indicator light. Again, I manually cut this area out myself (see pic).3. The actual labels would be clear / see-through to let the light of backlit keys shine through. This cover allows some light from around the keys through and I can do well enough in the dark, but it could be better!PLEASED OVERALL!I would pay much more for a cover that came with these recommended features, but am pretty darn pleased with this very cheap cover and my minor modifications. The protection from dust and spills is a plus, too. Easy to type with and does not slip around. Fits perfectly over my keys.

I bought this for my 15 inch Dell laptop. Clear letters on silver keys are impossible for me to see. This helps with that visibility issue while keeping dust out of my keyboard. The only issue is having to lift up the corner to use the fingerprint reader but the keyboard cover is not sticky, it's just silicone, so it's no big deal. Although, that's more of a "why is the reader there in the first place" issue.

The keyboard gel membrane fits perfectly over the keys on the laptop; the cover was bought specifically for the Dell laptop Inspiron 7706. Color black background w/white letters shows excellently, vs. that poorly designed silver background with gray keys (who's ever gonna find the right keys with that setup of colors?). Had to cut off the key cover for the fingerprint reader and open a hole over the light for CAPS LOCK, but who cares--no harm done; takes a little gettting used to using the gel membrane, but enjoy the product and glad I ordered this.

Fits Dell Inspiron 7506 perfectly. So much easier to see then light backed silver keys. Super fast shipping. Highly recommended!

The package was in terrible shape and you could see that the gel keyboard had been folded previously. It was not folded in the packaging I received, so I'm guessing it was returned to AMZ in this condition. It fit my keyboard fine but did not stick or stay in place. Since it was only $5.99, it's not worth returning it but I won't buy from this seller again.
