This a solid, well made lock. It's intuitive to operate.The installation was easy BUT I did run into two unclear parts of the instructions. Maybe these things were obvious, but not to me! First, the bolt must be installed with the correct side up. How to tell? Well, there is a little flap called the "single direction bolt barrier." The side of the bolt with that little flap goes towards the INSIDE of the door. If you do that, all good. Second, there is something called a "mounting plate." It's round. After you have the outside piece poking through the bolt, attach this mounting plate next using the two long screws. Forget about the black plastic guide things; more trouble than they're worth Just put the mounting plate on the inside of the door with the two long machine screws. From there, you're golden. Just attach the interior door knob with the two short screws, which go into the mounting plate, and that's it. If I didn't run into those issues, it would have been a 10 minute, enjoyable project. Because of those two issues, there was 20 minutes of frustration added in. The combo part was very easy. All the rest was simple and clear. I hated changing the batteries all the time on my last lock. This one works great and is totally worth it.

This lock is awesome! 100% mechanical! Which means, no batteries needed! Which is amazing! I'm a big clutz and always forget my keys. Our previous lock was fingerprint & keyless (it also has a key slot, which is kinda pointless, but apparently needed in case...). Guess what? Batteries died a few times, NO warning or beeping or anything. I was locked out because everything was inside and I was outside. We got fed up. Invested in these. And we never looked back! This also has a key slot just in case but I have not needed to use it! You can set your own code and never have to worry about getting locked out ever again! Knocked off 1 star because it was a little difficult to set up code with the tiny keypads inside (unless you have nimble elf fingers). Other than that, GREATEST INVESTMENT EVER!!

I had a Kwikset lock on the door for years, but the first indication that the batteries were getting low was when the lock wouldn't open... One time I didn't have keys to that door on me, I was locked out, this is the perfect fix for that problem.

I got tired of fixing my old battery operated Schlage as it would stop engaging the dead bolt and the knob would just spin in circles. This one fit in the same space w/o needing any modifications, super easy to install. Manual was written in English, not one of those Chinese-to-English translations, easy to follow and had good diagrams. The manual said it had a life-time warranty for keyless locks, then a few pages later said it had a 5 year warranty, so I'm not sure which it really has. I'll update this post should anything go wrong with it.

i installed this a month ago. it stopped working after 3 uses and is rusted. i speicifically asked if it was going to rust and the information given was that since it is made of stainless steel it will not rust. i am trying to get some help to try to get a replacement but am unable to proceed as the company makes it very difficult to contact them. i would not buy this product as it is not a good product and the company support is non existant

Yes, it’s stainless steel and looks good.I purchased 3 of them for my house, with all 3 after dialling the code, I have to wiggle the handle for a full minute before it agrees to turn and open the bolt.. for the meantime, I’m standing in freezing rain with groceries in my hand and curse this locks.

Just a combo lock! be aware your code can go in in any order, but you can make it anywhere from 3 to 8 characters.Installation was easy, except the part that goes into the door jam, we had to do some shaving of the hole as well as the metal part. The lock itself was easy.Works great, no more fumbling for a key!
