Quite nice
This is the third one of these we've had. Bought the first two at Lamps Plus. Same high quality, but more expensive. This pricing is in line with the product value.

We do not recommend this fountain
We were so excited to get this fountain! We loved the unique design and felt that it nicely complements our modern space, but it’s so cheaply made! And very small unlike what’s pictured! The main water pipe came broken and is currently leaking. The water splashes everywhere and even the sound of water falling through the mesh material at the bottom isn’t good at all. We had to add rocks to make the sound more like a fountain. The water doesn’t go down in a straight line either, it keeps swaying with the wind and keeps splashing even more. I guess it was a good design concept that was unfortunately so poorly executed. We truly regret having made this purchase!

Sounds like you're filling up a bathtub...
I bought this for indoors and it splashes, it would be best for outdoors. Plus the sound is sooo loud too. I ended up returning.

THE MOST BEAUTIFUL FOUNTAIN!!
Let me tell you. I've been looking for something that I could put on my patio for tranquility. This product is perfect. I haven't finished reading the instructions but it looks simple. Beautiful design, great feel and not heavy. It's a waterfall with lights! Grey finish and it works well with my decor. Would highly recommend it as an accent piece to your place.

HUNK OF JUNK - NOT WORTH HALF THE COST
The instructions are so weak it doesn't even tell you how much water to put in. It's cheap plastic and carelessly assembled. Mine has a leak to boot. Drained out in 2 hours. Had to buy a sealer. This should be a dollar store item.

Good for indoor but not outdoor
I like the design of it but it is not intended for outdoor use to mask out the outside noise. The sound from the fountain is not loud enough for an outdoor use. But I appreciate the design. We ended up returning it and got the 3 tier fountain by the same company.

Good product, needs work for Indoor use, Amazing customer service.
So this has been a bit of a saga, that was resolved amazingly well by Alpine.I bought one of these from Amazon Warehouse Deals, Used-Like-New. Well, no. Not 'Like-New' as the previous 'owner' had stripped out the pump, lights, and splash-guard. Naughty Amazon - But they did give me a sizeable credit back, so I bought my own light (11" submersible aquarium, and bonus, it's custom color instead of locked to warm white) & pump (160gph).I'm in Canada. So returning it really wasn't a good option for anyone involved, so this seemed to be a good solution for all involved. Still needed the splash guard though.Alpine was actually extremely responsive, and I'm sure their rep to Amazon had a nice little discussion about how they could have resold a stripped unit as 'Like-New', and worked to get me a splash guard. unfortunately the model number is attached to the pump cord, which I didn't have, so even though I gave them the measurements of the opening, they did send the wrong one (to Canada). I took pictures and re-opened the dialog, and they apologized and again asked for the model number (and again, I don't have it because the part with it was the part missing), but they were able to figure it out, and sent me the entire parts package, to Canada, with no hassle or complaint. I was honestly stunned by how responsive, and accommodating they were throughout the process. So, I'm still giving a 4* in spite of a pretty big negative:This WILL splash with the out-of-the-box configuration. The existing screen will deflect some water back, and it will jump over the lip on the right side. This will leave watermarks, and there is enough of it, that it will actually trap under the fountain. I used a large 24x24 tile to keep the surface water, and a few felt pads under the fountain to keep the water from getting trapped. I also cut the screen so it would act as a deflector rather than a bounce. There is another issue, the water splashes hard enough into the reservoir that it gets into the area the splash-guard slides in, and gravity will do gravity things, and this is a major dripping issue. So I completely cut out the existing mesh, and replaced it with an ULTRA fine stainless steel mesh. Caulked and screwed it into the top of the basin (the light covers it), and looped it ~an inch below the lowest point of the splash-guard. So the falling water gets further into the basin before it contacts the screen, and it's so fine, that it catches 99.999% (or so) of the splash, so that stays dry. Problem solved.Next problem, it's not a laminar flow, so the water will fragment slightly as it leaves the tubes. Again, this is an issue on the right, as small amounts of water will 'escape' the basin. Not enough to puddle, but enough to mark. The 24x24 tile solved that problem, as it dries on a waterproof surface just fine.Last problem - the area of the catch-basin is slightly small, so when the water runs low and the flow drops, or just the fragmentation of the water as it falls, it will hit the sides of the catch-basin and, you guessed it, bounce onto the floor, or actually a pretty significant distance away (like a mirror 3' from the fountain). So I experimented with a cut-off of linoleum and that seems to be solving the issue, and I will be upgrading that to one of those table-protective mats cut to the appropriate size, and I'll wrap THAT with prismatic window film to give it a more decorative look.So yes, an incredible amount of work (and drama), and I don't have the finished-finished product yet, but when it's all done, it will be a superb addition to my furnishings.......... so I'm sure that will mean it will spring a leak or something, because apparently I'm cursed.

Just opened the box
We have the pump set on low for a nice soothing background sound without bothering conversations. The light is starting to show up in the waterfall now that it is getting sunset. We will put some potted plants around it and believe it will be just fine for our patio. I don't like the light gray resin color against the dark charcoal. I would prefer it all to be dark charcoal, but the plants will help out.
