Five Stars Are Not Enough !!!!!!
I don't normally write reviews but my Gosky purchase really is worth mentioning.I wanted a spotting scope for target shooting and my automatic choice took me to a competitor brand of outdoor optics that is tried and trusted and also gives a lifetime guarantee. As my interest is mainly for shooting I set a price limit around £150 Sterling. At that price level my competitor product choice had 20-60 magnification but only a 60mm objective lense. Most reviews on my competitor first choice were consistently poor. I decided to go for the next price level up and ordered a the competitors well rated scope 20-60 x 80 at a lowest price of £230 Sterling. It is a very good scope at that price point. However by the time I costed-in a table top tripod, and phone camera adapter, my outlay was going to be circa £265 sterling for the competitor. My emotional heart still said the competitor was a good product and it would be best choice despite the cost.I noticed the Gosky scope on Amazon, and was initially cynical. The all up price was £160 sterling which included table top tripod and phone camera adapter. I fully expected the Gosky to fall short of my expectations in either quality or optics performance against the appreciably more expensive competitor. When the Gosky arrived I was very impressed with the build quality of the scope and the anciliaries, but I was emotionally locked into the competitor product. It seemed only logical to carry out a back to back evaluation, fully expecting the data to go against the Gosky optics.I placed a target on a wall with 4mm bullet holes already in the target. Starting from 20 meters distance the Gosky had the edge; with the other product struggling on image clarity so close in. I then took comparisons at set magnifications going further away in 25 meter increments. The Gosky was equal to the the other brand in clearly seeing the individual bullet holes all the way back to 220 meters ! Beyond that range I'm unlikely to need a scope for target shooting and both scopes were cose to their limit in that comparison. There was no disadvantage with the Gosky and it was also more user friendly to focus.I then did a number of landscape spotting comparisons at various ranges. Once again both scopes were absolutely identical with excellent detail image clarity even at long distance. I was astonished that the Gosky is such an optically capable scope, particularly as it was £115 sterling lower in price for my requirements! As a last check I did some star gazing and was blown away with the sharpness and detail of lunar craters with the Gosky. The comparison scope did struggle to get sharp focus of the moon crater edges on this test.In summary, the Gosky perfoms fantastically when compared to a top brand that is around 50% more expensive. It is such a capable scope I am certainly going to use it for more than target shooting. And I've saved enough by avoiding the competitor that I can invest in a Gosky full sized tripod and still have change left over.

Excellent value for money!
I ordered this for my birthday and after looking at several review it fitted my use perfectly. A bit of wildlife/bird spotting and occasional archery scope with some star gazing! The first night with it I shot these pictures of the moon. Now its not a telescope that would be suitable for stargazing/astronomy but for what it costs is a great introduction for younger folk. With its smart phone attachment and included case and tripod this is outstanding value for money. Yes you will need another tripod and yes there are some visual lens issues but for what it is I am impressed. The build quality is also solid and focusing rings and general feel robust with a comfortable eye piece.I went for the angled lens and glad I did as when using my Samsung smart phone you can also use the optical zoom on this to get even closer!Overall I can't really fault it for the price, its not a pro piece of kit but will do for most sports shooting, wildlife and a bit of moon gazing.

Good magnification, but premium price isn't justified
This Gosky spotting scope was purchased for a month long Nordic skiing competition, primarily to spot the targets and assist the firer.Pros- It has good magnification with a clear view- It is easy to focus- Simple to use- No gimmicks, it just works- Good colouring and decent build qualityCons- Lacks night vision- Tripod is fairly weak and lacks build quality- Smartphone attachment is workable, but nothing specialOverall, the product is well built and serves its purpose well. It is a quality item, but it is a bit more costly than other items on the market, which seem to do the job just as well as this one.

Long term review
I bought this scope 2 years ago for bird watching, with the idea to upgrade to a more expensive scope, but to be honest for the money these are pretty good. Lasted well, waterproof, no fogging, been bashed about. Tripod is only a table top one, so get a decent one or buy a hide clamp. For the money decent quality and will last.

Excellent scope
Wow!! Just got back from an expedition to our local wildfowl reserve. The quality of this scope is stunning. I fitted my smartphone to the adapter provided and shot some good stills and videos. David Attenborough, watch your back. Scope is great, all accessories, tripod, phone adapter work well. Case is very well made and cleverly designed. Delivery was very prompt. This is a very good value buy.

Unable to focus so pretty useless
I've used one of these scopes that a friend owns and it's great and that's the reason I bought one myself. When mine arrived I was super impressed, it's a slightly newer model and there had been a few nice upgrades. Nothing major but it's jus nicer. Then I tried to use it. At 20x magnification, I can't quite get a sharp image. I tested side by side with my friend scope and the difference is clear. Zoom in toward the 60x end of the range and it's just blurred no matter when. The scope just can't be focused.I've emailed the manufacturer about this 4 days ago and had no replay. I was hoping to return for a replacement but no luck. Amazon will only return for a refund, so looks like I'll have to do that.

Excellent customer service
I don't usually write reviews but in this case I had to make an exception.I am impressed with this scope, the magnification and build quality are very good for the price. The included phone camera mount works well with my Samsung S7. I would suggest buying a full height tripod though as the one included with the scope is only suitable for using the scope on a raised surface such as a table.Unfortunately the scope I received had a small imperfection on the bottom left of the lens as can be seen in the attached image. I contacted Gosky support and they sent me a brand new scope within two days and allowed me to keep the first scope. You can't ask for more than that, buy with confidence. 5 Stars!
