Nice cutter for use in a pillar drill on thick steel
I have some 45mm A to cut in 10mm rolled steel. Previously I have used the traditional toothed hole saw, they are slow, blunt frequently and need replacing after a few holes.I thought I would try one of these. It is quite a bit more expensive than a traditional hole cutter, but time is money. On inspection it looks well made with sharp teeth with plenty of potential wear/sharpening ability.Having mounted it in the pillar drill it was apparent as soon as I began to cut that this was so much better than anything I had used before. The swarf came off as chunks of metal and it cut really quickly. You definitely need eye protection with this, because the razor sharp chunks of swarf go everywhere. I cut a hole in 10mm steel in a couple of minutes. It would probably do it quicker, but in prefer to be gentle with it. This still represents a considerable time saving compared to a traditional hole saw that might take 10mins or more.I used cutting oil, but it needed a less than normal. After 3 or 4 holes in 10mm steel I noticed that the cutter still cut, but the swarf became finer slivers of metal. It still cut well but suggest it may need sharpening soon.In summary I would not bother with a carbide cutter if I was just cutting a few holes in thin material, but for repeat holes or thicker steel it’s will worth having.

Just the job
Bought to make three holes in a 4mm steel sheet. It went through like a hot knife through butter (with plenty of coolant oil helping it along). Blade is still as sharp as new, and sure it will make many more holes without problem.

Be careful!
For those who wrote reviews saying that it didn't last more than few holes I say, shut up, you don't know how to use tools properly. As I've gone through 60 so far, 60 30mm diameter holes in 3mm stainless steel, and now the best part-with no cutting oil as I hate to cleaning it of before welding. The best hole cutter I've ever used. Slow, perpendicular to the work piece, do not over heat and that's it.

Robust good quality
I originally purchased this to drill the baffles out of my motorbike exhaust. I bought 2 just incase they were not man enough. I have to say the cutter was superb. Very agressive and required a firm grip as I was using it in a hand held drill. I did exactly what I needed and cut through the stainless steel with ease. The supply service was great too. The cutters arrived quickly. Great item and great service.

Excellent
Had to drill 32 holes in 5mm steel, coped perfectly without blunting. Good enough for me

The bit broken on the first hole
I have now had 2 of these and both bits broke on the first hole. With the first one I persevered with the cutting tool by drilling a 6mm hole first then used the to cut the 25mm. The tool only managed to cut around 40 hole when some of the teeth can off. With all of these types of tools it's important to give the benefit of doubt and try a couple before giving a review. So my final thoughts would be that this tool is over priced compared to the similar Starrett (£12) product and the bits of terrible so I will be returning the 2nd one and buy a Starrett one instead.
