Works right out of the box. Pretty awesome. It's very loud. Takes about 40 seconds to achieve a vacuum when it's a 1/4 full. Clean up is simple.Cons:Could be quieter and have more vacuum settings.

This blender has two phases, vacuum then blend. It created a vacuum but did not blend.Returned.The replacement blender did not vacuum nor blend!Returned.Called Oster. They had no tech knowledge for this blender.Called Amazon, very helpful. They called Oster tech and were told, "No units available for replacement."There is another 1* review, which my experience confirms. Very sad.

I have used many Oster products over the years and was always pleased with the quality. I have been juicing and making smoothies for a very long time, and previously purchased a vacuum blender on this site some years ago. This I like so much better, it is easy to use, and I am happy with the material and size. As far as the noise level, I usually have to use ear plugs with my Vitamix which cost so much more. I received this today and after cleaning, I was ready to try it out, and it did not disappoint. The ease of use, the creaminess of the green drink and the amazing color, which I have never experienced before, makes me more anxious to use it on a daily basis. I did not get any of the foam produced by the other blenders including the Vitamix. I heard about this blender from a gentleman on YouTube some time ago, and when I came here to look for it, it was not available. Thank you, AMAZON, for sending information when it came back in stock. I take excellent care of things and expect to enjoy this appliance for a long time. I will also be able to vacuum the juice from my Nama also. It fits nicely under my cabinet and Vitamix is already in storage. Happy customer!!

The blender properly sucks out all the air and then blends. It makes smoothies nice and creamy. (Except hard seeds like raspberry) I really like how the design allows me to obtain a vacuum blender with breaking the bank like most others. I have no experience with the high end models, so I can't compare, but for a casual home user, I really like it.I have tried the to go container once so far and I like the quality of it, but when I tried to release the pressure later in the day there was none left, so it must have leaked. Because of that leak, the a star was lost. I would have only docked it a half a star, because I mainly bought it for the blender, but Amazon doesn't do halves. When my last vacuum blender dit the dust I thought I would be in for an expensive replacement. Not only was this very reasonably priced it works very well. The only negative i can say is that it tends to let in air fairly quickly in the fridge, but most of the time I am drinking soon ofter blending, so it doesn't matter to me.

I bought this to be able to make hyper-nourishing smoothies. With my vitamix blender they contain a lot of air and some foam too. I was having trouble swallowing all of the thicker smoothies. Also, because of all of the air I was feeling bloated and gassy. This vacuum blender sucks out the air before blending, and the smoothies are so smooth without the air issues. Even though this is not as powerful as the Vitamix it makes a better smoothie. I’ve only had it a week and I love it. The extra storage vacuum container is excellent too. I pour 1/2 of the smoothie in my 30oz tumbler, and the rest into the vacuum sealed container to store in the fridge until I finish the first half. As I have only used it for a week, if I have issues I will update.But for now I am very pleased with this product and would highly recommend it to others.

Quise seguir los pasos de mi abuela comprando Oster, y me arrepiento enormemente, no la uso ni mensualmente y me frustra increíblemente, no enciende, a mitad del licuado se detiene, no sé si es que el sensor del brazo de metal tiene fallas, es definitivamente algo digital que debe estar fallando. No se ha caído, la he limpiado con cuidado y pasa esto, además que lo del sellado al vapor no funciono nunca. Menos mal que tengo un pica todo, antes tenía una económica que me duró años, sorprendente que esta no duro un año funcionando sin fallar.
