great oil
I usually buy my oil from Walmart since they're the cheapest anywhere, but I was out of state and knew my wife's atv needed a oil change as soon as I got home. Amazon had a great deal on Rotella so I order a bottle and had it waiting for me as soon as I got home. I use Rotella engine oil in both my atv's since the engine shares oil with the gear box. Rotella has additional detergents and additives for longevity in the more heavily abused diesels. When I first got into atvs I was told not to run the expensive stuff (royal purple/amsoil) since these machines could need a oil change after a weekend of hard use, i.e. mud holes, heavy dust/sand and deep water. Since Rotella diesel oil is severe duty oil it's more protection than your machine will ever need and cheap enough to change as needed. Those looking for a review for diesel trucks, I've used this oil in 2 different 12 valve cummins and a powerstroke without fail and still trust it in my trucks.

Great oil that will give your engine the protection it needs
I drive modified turbo cars - a 2002 subaru impreza wrx upgraded to 270whp and a 2001 audi s4 upgraded to 400whp. I've run the 15w-40 Rotella T dino oil in my subaru for a couple years now - I was originally running royal purple but noticed that the car was burning it at a rate of at least a quart every thousand miles or so. Now turbo cars do burn a bit more oil than your average N/A car but this was excessive. Once I switched to the rotella, the consumption slowed to a more normal rate. When I bought my audi, I wanted to spare no expense in taking the best care of my engine since it was under more stress than a stock engine so I went for the T6 immediately. I've experienced very little oil consumption and I am confident this oil will adequately protect the engine. If you browse around the subaru forums you will see that there is a general consensus that subarus love rotella oil. Many of the unwashed masses like to run mobil 1 in their cars and end up frequently blowing engines (usually spun rod bearings). The problem with mobil 1 is that it shears down to a lower weight very quickly and fails to adequately protect the moving parts in the engine. This has been demonstrated time and time again by used oil analysis. Diesel guys that tow huge loads and have engines pushing out south of 1000 ft-lbs of torque trust their engines to this oil, so if that's not a good metric then I don't know what is. Do yourself a favor - if you drive a vehicle with a high-output engine, run this oil so it stays in one piece.

Great alternative to the expensive Polaris oil
Used this oil from reviews instead of the Polaris oil, many rides so far and no issues

The best motor oil
It has zinc, which is the most important to protect all moving motor parts from wear

Best stuff out their for the price
Best stuff out their for the price. I switched from White Bottle (15W40) you know the stuff that has been around since your dad's diesel. We'll unfortunately no good anymore in the new Diesels. If you have a truck from 2000's On you need this. It will give you much better cold start and increase fuel milage. The biggest difference is how clean and fluid the oil is after 5,000 miles. The standard 15w40 comes out like syrup and is black as coal. I have a 6.0 the notorious trouble maker and this made a huge difference in lower oil temperature, milage 1-3 mi, and cold startup. No longer do I let my truck idle for 10 min on first start. 2-3 min in summer and 5 min tops on the coldest days. I'm in PHX so not too cold but 4:30 am in January can make you layer up. I will be contacting Rotella to ensure that it is ok to run during our Extreme Summer Heat and not be to thin. Ran it last year with no problems but want to see if the Gray bottle (10W30) synthetic blend is better in summer due to its heavier weight. Even though the White is the proper weight according to your manual in hot climates it is inferior to the other two. Lack of cleaning agents and low viscosity will eventually kill your injectors and oil cooler.

Waiting for the Rotella magic to happen on a Wrangler JK
At the time of this review I have only traveled 100 miles with this oil.The most apparent difference is that my fuel consumption has gone up, nothing unexpected but not everyone might think oil could affect MPGs.I have gone from 18.6mpg to 15.6mpg on my trip computer in the 100 miles travelled so far. I travel almost always in the city, with frequent stops and short distances, so I feel that this is also the reason why my mpg has suffered.I will keep an eye out for future changes.Aside from this, I am hoping this thicker oil will help quieten the valve chatter, as it was very noticeable on thinner 5W-20/30 oils. Finally I will be looking to see how much oil will be burnt towards the 6K mile mark with this oil, and how the oil will come out when it will be time to replace. I have used dino oil for the last two changes and have gone through 2 quarts in the final 1000 miles, so this might help reduce the oil consumption.I am using this on a Wrangler JK with excess of 70k miles coupled with a RP High Mileage filter.

Good purchase
Well built container. Not easy to handle and pour, but for the amount of liquid it provides a surprising degree of control. Clear labeling and instructions. Oil poured right in and car has taken it well, so far as I can tell. Was running fine and continues to do so, only with higher oil levels, which is just what I needed.Have not purchased other brands of oil for this or other cars, and this is my first purchase for this one as well.
