The cast iron branch is a espresso brown color, although for the newly painted kitchen I wanted it to blend in, so we dry-brushed it with taupe colored paint. Looks like a perfect match now!!Guests came for Christmas dinner, and we hung all 6 coats!PS When hanging you will need 1 longer wood screw than they provide ... so be prepared.But I do love this hanger, it will be good for years to come!!

Love the look of it, much more creative than a standard hook. Needed something to hand the dog leashes on. Wish the branches were a touch longer, but it does the job. Very cool item!

I preferred a more utilitarian design -- something with plenty of strong hooks to hold all our junk. She, naturally, wanted something pretty. This thing is definitely a great compromise. It's made of cast iron, and definitely feels solid. After hanging it, I put several heavy bags on the hooks and didn't notice any bending or cracking. The piece is pretty nice-looking and subtle enough to fit in with different design types.One problem I found was that the included screws and anchors were too short and flimsy to provide a stable base for any weight beyond the hanger itself. A slight tug against one of the hooks and the whole piece came out of the wall. Easy enough solution -- I installed two cheap drywall anchors and it's solid as a rock now. The "branch" is large enough that it covers the drywall anchors (see attached photos). I think that even if I had attempted to install into a stud that the included screws/anchors would have still been too short to be of any value.Overall, I'm very satisfied with this purchase and my wife and I will look for this brand for future home decor.

hung this by my front door for my purse, umbrella, etc. It's very cute and compact, but the little branch "hooks" are shallow and don't turn up very much. One of the little branches is hardly a hook at all and only serves to hang something very light and thin. Probably better for jewelry or trinkets rather than bags, hats, or coats.

This hanging coat hook is definitely not made for hanging coat in an entrance way, however, I purchased this to hang my dogs' coats near the back door so they are not cluttering a chair. It is small, with the branch providing 5 usable "hooks". So I can hang 2 winter coats, 2 rain coats and a thin towel for a quick dry off when they come in from the rain, or an umbrella for when I need to go out with them.It is a nice little piece and will look nice on the wall even when it is not coat season and there aren't coats hanging from it.Installation was simple, but I would suggest using longer screws as the screws supplied are short and any real weight may rip this off the wall!I think this would also look nice in the kitchen as maybe to hang pot holders too.

This was a gift for my wife and she is so happy with it. It is actually quite heavy duty. It included mounting screws and wall anchors but I was not happy with those and used much stouter anchors and screws. It looks real nice and is mounted at our front door. Friends have commented on how nice it looks. It is quality and nothing cheap looking. Good deal for the price.

This is heavy but it was not hard to put up. Holds my hand towels well and it looks really good. I would buy again
