Just like description for the price it is a very good deal

The instructions were less than clear and assembly was a huge pain. Several of the hexhead bolts were misshapen and with 9 nuts made of 3 different designs, it's confusing. The only nut that was obvious was the one that holds the door on. The metal casing that surrounds the plastic body is also prone to peeling back until it's all put together. I am not confident in the longevity of this unit. I just took a 1000 mile ride on my BMW GSA and carried a medical kit inside. It held on and kept the kit from getting wet during a 10 hour ride through the rain so that is why it has 3 stars so far. It will make a trip to Canada and back in a week and if it survives, I'll give it another star. But the initial quality (or lack thereof) keeps this from being a 5 star item.

The box itself looks to be the same as the BMW / Touratech box that costs close to $100 or more. I have a 2016 BMW 1200 GS with Brooks AutoSports panniers and rack.There are no instructions to mount this box and once you start looking at things, you try to mate this piece to that piece. But the most aggravating part for me it trying to mount it on the inside of the left pannier. There is no room at this point to mount this with the pannier in place. I am trying to figure out how to shim this box with the pannier mounted.I would like to keep the tool kit and / or a first aid kit in this small box so I will not have to dig through my top case or pannier for said items while the bike is loaded up for a long distance tour.

It met my expectations and was delivered wuickly

The loop clamp (comes in 2 pieces that lock together) that fixes the front part of the tool box to the pannier rack broke apart after a 200 mile test ride with minimum tools in it. This is dangerous, as the box could come into contact with the wheel while riding and you would not see the broken clamp if you have a pannier on. This box would not withstand a long trip with off road portions. The rear door also came loose - will shake loose easily with vibration so that string is indeed necessary. Another reviewer had to put 2 more connection points. Suggest the manufacturer add more secure points and upgrade the cheap loop clamps provided. This box is a hazard if you ride anywhere past your local coffee shop. Cannot recommend this to anyone who rides enough to want tools on their bike.

First of all its not a Stainless Steel toolbox. Its a plastic box with Stainless Steel reinforcement for attaching it to the pannier frame. Second issue I had is how its mounted to the frame. Its flimsy at best. I had to add two more attachment points just to feel comfortable. Third ... I doubt its waterproof. The rubber gasket to the door is not an O-ring rather one long strip of rubber that was cut to length. The door, when closed and locked is loose and wiggles around in the box. To accommodate left or right side mounting, holes were pre-drilled on both sides of the box. Time will tell regarding the durability of this box. I don't recommend buying this box especially if you ride off road.

THIS IS A PLASTIC BOX with STEEL REINFORCEMENTTOOLS ARE NOT INCLUDEDNOT WATERPROOF AT ALL.The instructions are HORRIBLE. I was able to do it because I work with tools, but I believe that it will be complicated to an untrained pair of hands.THIS IS NOT WATERPROOF AT ALL. The door has an o-ring that is it. Then the box has at least another 6 holes where the water can get inside.So it does the job, for sure, make sure you apply the red screw sealant (highest power) because it will vibrate and goodbye box.Get a dry bag and then YES, you can say that your stuff will be dry inside the box.It comes with a few extra bolts and screws, it will be awesome if it comes with the tools.
