Great tires for not only mtb, but gravel bikes too
For the last year and a half I have been running 650b x 47 tires on my Salsa Journeyman. While they're great for some racing and other light off-pavement rides, they don't do well on a lot of chunky gravel and singletrack that we have here where I live. I do a lot of bikepacking so I decided to give the Maxxis Ikon's a try after doing some research.I traditionally use WTB tires but they are very difficult to mount and dismount. Maxxis tires are a breeze in this case. These are rated as an XC tire but did well with grip and handling on a fully loaded bike. They rolled well on pavement, hard pack, loose, gravel and did really well in wet conditions.Unfortunately I only got in about 8 rides on them before a woman hit me with her car, destroying my bike. I am keeping the Ikon's to mount on my next gravel rig because I'm so happy with them.

Great tires
I have had these for about 3 months now and I love them. I mainly ride on pavement and they are amazing for it and occasionally I’ll ride on dirt and they handle great. All around good value for your money and I’ll definitely be buying again.

My Giant came with Maxxis IKON already on it and I ripped the rubber right off the wire bead! I was hesitant to get these again but I am glad I did!!! These are a totally different IKON! Grip is better and they feel much more robust than the originals. Overall a fantastic XC MTB Tire!

Fantastic Buy!!
The Maxxis 3C EXC EXO Folding Tire is an awesome choice. I recently mounted on both front and rear. The raised center ridge provides smooth gliding on smooth surfaces and the aggressive outer tread digs in off road. I am a very satisfied customer on this one! I highly recommend this product.

but cornering grip isn't great. Obviously not a wet conditions tire
Very light and fast rolling, but cornering grip isn't great. Obviously not a wet conditions tire, but mud clearance is notably bad. I've heard the 2.35s have deeper tread, so may be worth a try. I'd skip the 2.25s. I'm normally a Maxxis fan, but these were just okay.

My wife's Yeti ASRC came with these on it.
After wearing out the first set, I looked at others models and brands. For width, traction and weight these appear to be the best choice.She says they are very consistent and predictable in grip.

Awesome tire.
Great tire that got me through the Arizona Trail Race 300 without a flat. Good traction in dry rocky and sandy conditions. Very good on hard pack as well. Recommend using them tubeless with at least three ounces of Stan's sealant.
