7.5 LBS Indicating Silica Gel (Orange to White), Reusable Dehumidifiers Desiccant Moisture Absorbers

I bought these moisture-absorbing beads and put them in various sized cotton sacks; I put them in our storage shed. The large container is so great. I had been buying regular dessicant packets although this is the best value! I also like to slim container for easy storage and pouring. This is a great product and will purchase it again in the future!

Putting 3 oz in a sachet bag and placing in sealed containers to keep moisture out and to remove any that maybe in product or container. Has been working excellently for final drying of herbs. Hasn't changed color yet but herbs are dried out. Very good product.

Put approx one cup in a container per window behind the blinds to absorb condensation. Did a great job. Once the pellets went white I put them in the oven per instructions and they were ready to use again.

Good product. Can hold about 8% of its weight in water. Color does change and is good for certain applications. Has a fragrance added to mask any odor from the silica. The product looks a lot like candy.

The ratio of broken to whole beads is poor. I have to sift it heavily before use, and end up with a large volume of broken beads that are much smaller than the advertised mean. This also causes it to pack down too tightly, reducing airflow through the silica.Too much waste for me to reorder.The color change is basically imperceptible until it goes fully clear, but the efficacy drops off long before that. Not particularly helpful.

We live in the dry desert and these beads are changing from orange to white as they are absorbing humidity. Seems to be working great. Have not tried to recharge yet.

This does a great job to soak up excess moisture from the air and my filaments in AMS boxes. It seems to do it better than the Orange to green indicating desiccant I've tried. (This is orange to white.) The blue stuff gives off toxic fumes so I won't use that. So this is my first time trying this.I'm very satisfied with how well and fast it dries my filaments.However, I removed a star because I'm having issues recharging it either in a microwave or electric oven. Seems to only slightly recharge for me and remains somewhat white. Whether I order more or not will depend on whether I get this problem solved as it's main value is in being able to recharge a few times. I will return here and update this review when that problem is worked out or not.Update 3-6-2025: I've now mostly used up this desiccant drying 3D printer filament. It does dry well. But I've not had even one successful time to recharge it. The color stays white even after hours in a oven to recharge. I probably won't purchase again since it's key value was to be able to recharge it.

Fast and easy to use. Love the pour bottle. Would not recommend for drying small or fragile flowers as indicating beads are too big for these
